Premier League confirm TV fixture changes with Liverpool handed daunting schedule

The Premier League have announced their latest set of fixtures changes with Liverpool handed a daunting fixture schedule in their pursuit of winning the title.

Jurgen Klopp’s side face the prospect of three away matches in six days – including another 12:30pm kick-off on a Saturday afternoon – after the Premier League rescheduled their trip to Everton and confirmed the latest TV schedule.

After losing against Manchester United in the FA Cup quarter-final last Sunday, the Reds will be in Premier League action on semi-final weekend. They will now travel to Fulham on Sunday, April 21 with the match moved to start at 4:30pm for live coverage on Sky Sports.

This is before a trip across Stanley Park to Goodison Park for the Merseyside derby, which will take place on Wednesday, April 24 at 8pm, with the game shown live on Sky Sports.

To end a hectic week of travelling for the Reds, they will make the journey down to the London Stadium to face West Ham on Saturday, April 27, with the match starting at 12:30pm live on TNT Sports.

Jurgen Klopp has previously demonstrated his frustration at kicking off early on a Saturday – and these latest set of alternations to the schedule may leave the outgoing Reds boss angered once again.

As for some of the other teams, Arsenal have got three Premier League matches in eight days on the horizon following the announcement by the Premier League. The Gunners will now travel to Wolves on Saturday, April 20, with the game getting underway at the later time of 7:30pm on Sky Sports.

Then Arsenal have a quick turnaround before their next game – the rescheduled clash against Chelsea – which will start at 8:00pm on Tuesday, April 23 on TNT Sports. Mikel Arteta’s side have a five-day break before ending the week with a trip to north London rivals Tottenham on Sunday, April 28 at 2pm on Sky Sports.

Everton vs Nottingham Forest, Everton vs Brentford, Aston Villa vs Chelsea, Tottenham vs Arsenal and Nottingham Forest vs Manchester City are the other five fixtures which have been moved purely for TV coverage. Aston Villa vs Bournemouth and Crystal Palace vs West Ham have been altered due to participation in Europe.

Meanwhile, Wolves vs Bournemouth, Crystal Palace vs Newcastle, Manchester United vs Sheffield United and Brighton vs Manchester City – which were all meant to be played last weekend – have been rescheduled to the midweek commencing 22 April alongside Everton vs Liverpool and Arsenal vs Chelsea.
