Layton Williams’ savage put-down of Ekin-Su divides Celebrity Big Brother fans as scenes dubbed ‘carnage’

Strictly Come Dancing star Layton Williams was dismissive of former Love Island star Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu after she complained about how she was edited in Celebrity Big Brother

Layton Williams savagely put down former Love Island star Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu for ‘blaming the edit’ over what happened in the house with Marisha Wallace prior to the eviction.

The Strictly Come Dancing star was dismissive of the reality star’s reasons for her eviction from the Celebrity Big Brother house, who complained that she has come across badly despite not seeing what had been shown to ITV viewers following her clash with Marisha after she nominated her for eviction.

Marisha explained at the time: “I know if I get to the final, I can’t beat you. I know that if you get to the final with me, you will win the public vote. I know that if we go head-to-head, you have a huge following, you played these games before you know how to win and if I want to win this, if I ever had the chance, I wouldn’t have the chance against you.”

Ekin-Su told her: “I knew this was going to happen, this judging me because I went on a f***ing show before. You’ve been close with me this whole time so you’ve been fake with me this whole time.”

The 29-year-old former Love Island star was met by boos when she left the CBB house on Friday night and complained afterwards: “You haven’t seen everything, they cut stuff out.” Bad Education star Layton hit back: “You’re not going to blame it on the edit. One thing you’re not going to do is blame it on the edit. We see what we see and it’s a shame.”

Layton’s comments seemed to divide viewers, with many pointing to his comments about ‘being kind’ while he was on Strictly, as he faced accusations that he had an advantage over his fellow competitors due to is dance experience on the West End, during his many performances there.

Taking to X, formerly Twitter, one viewer was here for the drama, posting: “All I want is Layton and Ekin Su on Sundays Late & Live together #CBBUK “. Another was dismissive of Layton and his views that he shared during Strictly: “Layton who was crying be kind during his strictly days is the same Layton calling Ekin -Su a b****. The hypocrisy of it all and for what? #CBBUK #CBBLL ”

Another thought that Layton was hypocritical, posting on X: “Nah #CBBLL is actually GROSS for the extreme bullying of Ekin Su. Yeh she’s gone down in my estimation from the love island days but the way this show daily picks on her like she’s slaughtered a country is actually gross. Layton is the biggest vile bully of them all.”

This was countered by a fourth viewer who believed Layton was right to ground Ekin Su after her eviction, posting: “Good on Layton and AJ for bringing Ekin Su slap back down to Earth… she is complaining about an edit of a show that has a live stream and also a show she has not seen.”
