CASHING IN! Liverpool star Salah’s staggering off-pitch earnings revealed in new documents as Kop star plays a blinder away from Anfield

New documents have revealed that Liverpool star Mohamed Salah has made a huge profit through his commercial company.

Salah, 31, already earns nearly £400,000 per week after signing a lucrative new contract with Liverpool in 2022, justified by being one of the Premier League’s best players since his arrival from Italian side Roma in 2017. But it’s not just with the ball at his feet where the Egyptian winger makes his money, as his off-field earnings contribute to his wealth, too.

According to their latest financial document which is dated June 30, 2023, ‘Salah UK Commercial’ took home a profit of just over £5.4million after tax. The 31-year-old’s business boom comes after he recouped a whopping £27m from commercial deals in the space of three years.

That figure is now up past the £33m mark a sum which serves as a nest egg and will be used by Salah in the future.

The latest filed documents show that the Egypt captain, who also has deals with Adidas, Uber, Vodafone and Pepsi, banked £11m in the last tax year through personal sponsorships alone.

Salah could’ve been set to earn even more money in his next set of accounts, had Liverpool decided to sell him for £200m last summer.

Saudi Arabian champions Al-Ittihad were keen to make him the latest star player to move to the Middle East, reportedly offering him a contract worth a staggering £175m per year.

“Everything moves. Players left the club already. Very important players left the club. The manager is also very important for the club but he’s leaving the club. One day I will leave the club, but no [Klopp leaving won’t impact my future].”

Back in November when the possibility of Salah leaving to join a Saudi Pro League club was once again mooted, Klopp confirmed: “Mo is here, Mo never came to me and wanted to go. I didn’t think a second about it, to be honest, should we [sell] or not, or whatever.”
