Iowa basketball star Caitlin Clark exchanged some heated words during a Thursday night blowout loss to Indiana.
Clark and the Hawkeyes were humiliated 86-69 by the Hoosiers on the road, and Clark finished with just 24 points on 8-of-26 shooting. It’s the worst game she’s played in recent memory, and she still managed to put up nearly a triple-double, with an additional 10 rebounds and nine assists.
However, it was clear from early on in the matchup that the Hoosiers were intent on bottling her up and getting under her skin.

Caitlin Clark and Yarden Garzon get in tense exchange.
There was no better example than when Indiana player Yarden Garzon and Clark shared some HEATED words following a foul early in the second quarter.
While it’s not clear what either said, they didn’t seem to be exchanging simple pleasantries. You can check out the moment below, and let me know your thoughts on Clark at [email protected].
Playing Caitlin Clark is really the Super Bowl for many teams. She’s probably the most famous women’s college basketball player in the history of the sport. The Iowa sensation transcends women’s basketball.
She draws in new viewers and massive crowds. Every program wants to give her its best performance, and she got all she could handle Thursday night from Indiana.
The Hoosiers contained her to a poor overall performance by her standards and ran the Hawkeyes off the court. Not only did Indiana dominate Iowa, but it also got very chippy for a moment.
That’s the kind of fire and energy I’m sure Indiana fans loved to see.

The good news for Iowa fans is every single thing the program wants is still within reach. As long as Clark is healthy and playing, the Hawkeyes will remain national title contenders. However, Iowa is also mortal, and that’s been proven a handful of times. Give me your predictions on how far the team and Clark will go at [email protected].
