The boxing world is still in shock as Ryan Garcia defied the odds when he knocked out Devin Haney in a twelve-round boxing bout last weekend. Garcia proved to be the better fighter in the ring. No one expected Garcia to win the bout against Devin Haney. Haney and Garcia were two of the best fighters who scrapped it out to find out the better man. Former UFC champion Michael Bisping gave his take on the fight that took place last week.

Like everyone, Michael Bisping was shocked when Garcia scored a victory against Haney. He recently discussed the boxing match on his podcast.

Michael Bisping reacts to Ryan Garcia taking on Devin Haney

Bisping was the best fighter in the Middleweight division during his prime. He was the first Englishman to win the UFC Gold. Bisping, apart from being a former fighter, is a full-time fan of combat sports. Michael Bisping witnessed Garcia and Haeny going at each other in the ring. On Ryan’s victory over Haney, Bisping said,

I was just going to talk about Ryan Garcia there. I was saying on the last show. Maybe this guy was pulling the ultimate troll move. You know what I mean. Just pulling the wall over everybody’s eyes and he missed his weight, that was going to cost him $1.5 million in the little side bet he had with Devin Haney.

Michael Bisping clarified that he predicted that Garcia was trolling the boxing fans and his opponent in the ring. Michael Bisping was a grade-A trash talker during his fighting days at the UFC. Garcia stunned even Michael Bisping after winning his bout against Devin Haney in a rather impressive fashion. Garcia knocked down his opponent three times via a viscous left hook inside the boxing ring.

Michael Bispinis was impressed with Ryan Garcia’s ability to fool everyone in the boxing ring. Ryan Garcia missed weight by three pounds, and everyone thought that Garcia was looking for a way out of the bout. But Ryan later revealed that he just couldn’t make the weight at 140 pounds in the UFC. Garcia had to pay hefty fines to his opponent and the commission for okaying the bout. Ryan Garcia and Devin Haney will meet in the future, Haney confirmed in the post-fight interview.
