Jake Paul names his next two opponents after Mike Tyson as £8m offer revealed

Jake Paul has already set his sights on his next fight after Mike Tyson and it could come in a completely different sport to boxing.

Paul, 27, is currently preparing to face former heavyweight champion Tyson, 57, in an exhibition fight on July 20 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

Their fight will be the main event of a card that will air on Netflix, which will also feature an undisputed super lightweight championship bout between Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano.

Paul has received criticism from numerous high-profile figures for choosing to take a fight against an aging Tyson.

Former UFC champion Jorge Masvidal has been one of the most vocal critics of Paul in recent weeks and has warned the YouTuber-turned-boxer he would “kick his f**king kneecap off his fragile body” if they ever fought.

Paul signed a professional deal UFC rivals PFL in January 2023 and insists he still plans to make his MMA debut.

“I’m being so serious when I say I want to fight them in MMA,” Paul told Betr.

“Either Masvidal or [Nate] Diaz in the PFL. A $10m (£8m) offer.”

Paul then proceeded to mock Masvidal with an impression of the Miami native.

He said: “Masvidal saying ‘You can’t even box, what the f*** are you going to do in MMA? I am from Miami, Florida bro…'”It’s the same with Paddy [Pimblett] and Sean Strickland, all these guys. They hide behind these crazy things but none of them have shown up to the table to talk any business to make anything happen in a real fight, a real spar.

“The offer still stands there.”

Paul’s older brother Logan then asked if Strickland didn’t want to spar his sibling, to which he replied: “No.”

PFL boss Donn Davis has admitted Paul’s MMA debut is unlikely to take place this year but will “100 per cent” happen in future.

When asked when a potential fight with Masvidal or Diaz could happen, Paul added: “Obviously I have Mike and then I would do it after that.

“I would do a six-month camp.”

To which Logan replied: “You’ve got to learn some kicks, my man.”
