Josie Gibson and Craig Doyle opened Friday’s This Morning in a different way – and viewers were unsure about it
This Morning fans were left fuming on Friday after Josie Gibson and Craig Doyle opened the show by dancing to 90s music.
“Hello and welcome to your Friday’s This Morning,” Josie began as Craig explained why they were dancing: “We do have a reason for doing this, we are kicking off your Friday with some 90s tunes starting with Rhythm of the Night, a favourite of Josie’s.”
“90s music, absolutely fantastic,” Josie continued as she turned to her guests Tim and Gyles to ask what their favourite track was from that era.
Tim replied: “Oh there are so many but my favourite has to be Soul to Soul, Back to Life.”
Gyles explained one of his favourite songs was Will Smith’s Getting Jiggy With It.
However, things took a turn when Craig shared: “I was going down a very musical path at this stage in my life. There was no pop music. It would have been Nirvana…it would have been Smells Like Teen Spirit.”
She quickly paused the show as she told Craig: “No, oh no, it is too much for me.”

Fans flocked to X to share their thoughts, with one complaining: “#ThisMorning Worst start to a show ever.”
“Is this the worst opening segment to a This Morning episode in history?” another asked while a third added: “Unfortunately, you’re not hallucinating.”
Someone else said: “#ThisMorning can the dancing stop now, please,” as another questioned: “Love this tune! The dancing however!???”
However, not everyone shared the same opinion as one viewer praised: “Great opening! #ThisMorning.”
