The disclosures come as bosses prepare to release the findings of a three-month probe into bullying claims by actress Amanda and other celebs on the hit show.

A source said: “The probe team have considered if it was offensive to Amanda.

“The BBC can’t ignore the fact the video was sent. There seems to be a trail of evidence.

“Even if it is established the footage was shared with innocent intentions, the BBC are concerned this could constitute a breach of conduct according to the contract handed to the pro dancers.”

Amanda, 50, and Giovanni, 33, are understood to have been grilled this month by investigators over her claims he made a crude comment about a member of her family.

A source said: “Amanda was effectively asked whether Gio meant the comments as light-hearted banter.

“She found this line of questioning highly offensive.”

Giovanni, who quit the show after nine years in May, has denied any wrongdoing.

Last month, we revealed fellow Strictly pro Graziano Di Prima, 30, was sacked by the BBC after it emerged he kicked celeb partner Zara McDermott last year.

Amanda told The Sun on Sunday last month she received death threats after speaking out.

She said: “I found Giovanni’s behaviour unnecessary, abusive, cruel and mean. I couldn’t sit and let him do that to others.”

Giovanni’s spokesman said he “continues to deny abusive or threatening behaviour”.

BBC declined to comment.
