Good Morning Britain star Kate Garraway recently took a long break away from the ITV programme. She took to social media to share a quick update
Kate Garraway shared a quick update about her return to Good Morning Britain after enjoying a long break with her family.
The presenter has been away from the morning programme but will be back on the show on Thursday morning. She went to her brother’s home in Cornwall and went kayaking, caving and coasteering as she took in all the nature the area had to offer. Along with a few pictures of her trip, she shared an update with fans.
She wrote on Instagram: “Just had an amazing trip to my brother’s in @beautiful.cornwall – and thanks to the fabulous @lizardadventure & my brother’s mate Chris I managed a five-mile kayaking trip – with some #caving & #coasteering thrown in!
“It was a breeze for Bill & my niece @lucy.garraway_x & of course, my bro’s an expert but didn’t think my spaghetti arms would make it !!! But I loved it – aren’t kayaking helmets flattering by the way??!!! Swipe right to see!!! See you bright & breezy on @gmb tomorrow from 6 am with @richardmadeleyofficial – if my arms can open the laptop!!!!”

One snap showed Kate and the family getting ready to kayak and another had the kids pose with their uncle. Fans of Kate, who lost her husband Derek Draper earlier this year, took to the comment section to share their excitement for the presenter. One user said: “So nice to see you and the family having some fun, despite your obvious grief. Go Garraway family!”
“Absolutely fabulous photo lovely Kate,” one said while another posted: “You look gorgeous.” It comes after Kate made a heartbreaking admission about her future during a chat on Good Morning Britain last week. The ITV host – who sat alongside Adil Ray on the breakfast show – was chatting with presenter and comedian Paddy McGuinness about his career and latest job, when she made her own admission about retiring.
Chatting about his new show with former Top Gear star Chris Harris about going on road trips, he joked it wasn’t good to be back working with Chris – who he also starred on Top Gear alongside Freddie Flintoff. “You’re working out how to grow old and where to retire,” Kate said, before adding of herself: “Obviously this is very much in my remit and focus so I’m interested in what you would discover,” as Paddy insisted it wasn’t just geared towards men but the focus was on his and Chris’ own experiences.
