Now Kylie, 26, has faced backlash for her designs as many have ripped the clothing items for looking cheap.
The reality star took to the official Instagram of her new brand Khy on Thursday to share photos of herself modeling the first collection.
The TV personality posed in various all-black looks made from latex or fake leather.
Kylie showed off her slim physique in figure-hugging corsets, long-sleeved dresses with gloves attached, oversized trench coats, low-rise pants, mini-dresses, hoodies, and more.
She captioned her post: “Drop 001 features twelve fashion essentials ranging from sizes xxs to 4x. Launching November 1st on Khy.com.”
But fans quickly complained about the Hulu star’s new line, many comparing the clothing to the fast fashion brand Shein in the comments and on Reddit.
“Plastic fantastic or alternative leather? does not look like real leather..” one trolled.
“Cheap,” a second put shortly while a third remarked: “AVVVVERAAAAGE AND BORINGGGGG.”
“Made out of plastic,” a fourth laughed.
“Truth is, people can find knockoffs of majority of this for cheap on shein/any fast fashion.
“Who’s the target audience? Who’s actually going to pay for this? Unless this is fast fashion prices, this will go exactly how Kylie swim went,” a fifth claimed.
“I’m sorry but I can already tell this will flop,” a final slammed.
KHY BY KYLIE
Kylie has been promoting her latest business venture titled Khy with sexy photos on social media.
The mother of two revealed and showed off her first few products that will be available to purchase on November 1.
In a carousel of new pictures posted on her Instagram page, Kylie stunned in a super short strapless leather dress that’s called the faux leather mini.
In black and white snaps, Kylie posed for the camera with her hands on her hips and in her hair while showing off her attire.
In another, the Kylie Cosmetics founder squatted on the ground outside and drank a glass of wine.
She matched the aesthetic by panting her nails black.
“Just me and my @khy faux leather mini,” Kylie captioned her pics, “Launching november 1st on khy.com.”
Throughout the week, Kylie has been teasing her newest career move – including social media posts and TikTok videos.
Fans also thought she looked “so tiny” in the newer pics as she’s been getting slimmer in recent weeks.
Jens and Emma Grede, the same husband-and-wife duo behind Khloé Kardashian’s Good American and Kim Kardashian’s SKIMS, are said to be involved with the brand.
Kylie stated that the clothing line, a play on her nickname, will offer fashion-forward trends at a more accessible price point than typical designer brands.
In an interview with the Wall Street Journal, Jenner said: “The whole line is really inspired by my personal wardrobe and the different moods that I’m in…[the first drop] is very King Kylie–who I am at my core.”
Fans will be able to shop the debut collection, featuring Berlin-based brand Namilia, on Khy.com.
The drop includes faux-leather pants, coats, and tops available in sizes XXS to 4X.
Prices are set to start around $48, with the most expensive item in the collection priced just under $200.
There’s no word yet on whether Khy will be sold in brick-and-mortar stores or any additional online retailers.
