LeBron James has always been clear, he wants to play at least one season with his eldest son Bronny, no matter which team.
The problem is that the latter is falling behind schedule and that it could only arrive in 2025 or 2026. That changes everything for the King.
We wish we could say the opposite as he thrilled fans of the orange ball, but LeBron James is not eternal.
One day he will retire and leave a huge void in this league which has sworn by him for over 20 years now. And at 39 you have to prepare yourself, this day should come soon.

So perhaps he is letting doubts hang over his future because he knows full well that his dream of evolving with Bronny is taking a hit. .
LeBron James has always dreamed of playing with his eldest son in the NBA, but the latter could arrive late.
