And the least we can say so far is that he completely meets the expectations placed on him. After a few weeks of doubt, he crushed the race for the title of Rookie of the Year, and he even found a place in the race for the title of Defender of the Year.

And then, no matter how much we get used to seeing him on the pitch, he is still capable of pulling off actions we have never seen before.

This was the case this Friday, with a sequence of blocks and monstrous dunks on the other side of the field that left the fans speechless.

If everything was not perfect, far from it, Victor Wembanyama still managed a solid performance with 31 points, 16 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 blocks and 2 interceptions.

His defensive impact has been impressive, with players simply refusing to look at the basket in his presence, and that’s something Taylor Jenkins has responded to.

I want to say we weren’t good, but we just missed a lot of open shots.

We knew we had to turn the ball against this team which is charging its racket, especially with Victor Wembanyama.

For 48 minutes he made it difficult for us near the basket. And we even missed the baskets he left open for us.

Victor Wembanyama is a nuisance on defense, and all players need to know where he is at all times.

Taylor Jenkins knew this before the game, so he asked his Grizzlies to move the ball around and wait for the opening to take the best possible shots.

And to think that the Frenchman is only in his first year…

Victor Wembanyama is already a standout player in the NBA, and all teams need to adapt to him and his defense.
