BallyGilbert Arenas released new lunar remarks earlier in the week, accusing the Europeans of not knowing how to defend. The response from Internet users was quick, with Rudy Gobert and Victor Wembanyama as examples.
Defense has been at the heart of debates in recent weeks in the NBA. It’s been a while now since the attacks took over, while the referees have never caused so much controversy with sometimes strange whistles. The league is aware of this since a meeting is planned soon to make, or not, changes concerning the defenses.
In the meantime, Gilbert Arenas has a simple explanation behind these defensive problems : the Europeans. He blames the players across the Atlantic for this drama, to the point where he asks them to come play in the USA to learn how to defend. Funny coming from someone who was far from being known for being excellent in this field.
Gilbert Arenas lynched after his borderline remarks
Since then, responses have quickly flowed in to support the Europeans, unfairly targeted by Arenas. It must be said that these comments are ridiculous, especially when Rudy Gobert is probably preparing to win his fourth DPOY. Not to mention the prowess of Giannis Antetokounmpo in the field, or the imminent takeover of Victor Wembanyama.

I transfer Gilbert Arenas for my health
Gilbert Arenas is making a fool of himself, again, with his recent comments. On the contrary, fortunately the Europeans are in the NBA to provide a little defense. And that’s just the beginning.
