Milwaukee defeated San Antonio in a close 125-121 contest.

It was the first meeting between the two-time NBA MVPs Giannis and Wembanyama.

After the game, Antetkounmpo spoke to reporters and marveled at the rookie’s skills.

“He’s special,” he said, via ESPN. “He’s going to be an extremely good player. He plays the right way. He plays to win.”

“I’ve never seen anything like him,” he said.

And Giannis took it a step further, believing that Wembanyama’s height is taller than what’s reported.

“Whoever said he’s 7’3″ that’s a lie,” the 29-year-old said.

Wembanyama impressed during the game, recording 27 points, nine rebounds, and five blocks.

He had 19 points in the first half.

The 2023 No. 1 overall pick also had highlight-reel plays, including a behind-the-back for an and-one dunk, a self-alley-oop off the glass, and a block on Giannis.

But Antetkounmpo would take over in the second half.

He scored 29 points in the last two quarters and finished with 44 points.

The Greek Freak dunked on several Spurs players during one play.

Giannis also recorded 14 rebounds and seven assists.

The Bucks now have a 25-10 record and sit at No. 2 in the Eastern Conference.

San Antonio, however, has a 5-29 record which is the second-worst in the NBA.
