It’s a beautiful day for Chiefs fans, as Travis Kelce agreed to a contract extension to keep him in Kansas City for the next two years. This is a worthy cause for celebration and three-time Super Bowl MVP Patrick Mahomes wasted no time in congratulating his dear friend and partner-in-crime.
In a social media post sent to X.com, Mahomes assured Chiefs Kingdom that he wasn’t letting Kelce go anywhere.
Here’s what he had to say:
I told yall I’ll never let him leave!! Congrats my guy! @tkelce https://t.co/9sqkZY8mU8

Mahomes and Kelce’s brotherly relationship is no secret. The duo plan to open a restaurant in Kansas City together and have frequently been spotted in off-the-field events.
It’s almost impossible to imagine either future Hall of Famer playing without the other, and it looks like we won’t ever have to see either one in another uniform.
In just six years together, Mahomes and Kelce have three Super Bowl rings in four appearances and are heavily favored to win the AFC once again. Kansas City hopes to become the first team in NFL history to win three consecutive Super Bowls and these two will be the primary force behind the success if the Chiefs pull it off.
No matter what happens, it’s exciting to know we have at least two years left to watch the Mahomes and Kelce duo. They’re a generation-defining pair and appear to be just as close off the field as they are on it.
Congratulations are due to Kelce, but Mahomes is just as happy as any Kansas Citian today.
