Taylor Swift flew her private jets 178,000 miles last year for her Eras Tour – and to see lover Travis Kelce
So how far would you go for love? For most of us that’s a hard thing to quantify. For Taylor Swift the answer was roughly 178,000 miles last year and counting.
That’s how far Swift’s private jets flew last year according to a new video clip causing a stir on social media and generated by Jack Sweeney.
Florida college student Sweeney, 21, – a junior at the University of Central Florida – has run accounts tracking the takeoffs and landings of planes owned by billionaires, politicians, Russian oligarchs, and other public figures for years, posting their routes and mileage along with estimates of their planet-warming emissions they represent.
But it’s his tracking of Swift that has set social media abuzz and earned him a threat of legal action from the star’s lawyers for ‘harassing and stalking behavior,‘ for his efforts.
Yet Sweeney remains unperturbed, and earlier this week he posted his video with the help of Ground Control revealing that last year The Tortured Poets Department star flew the equivalent of seven times round the earth, emitting 1,200 tons of CO2 in the process.
New data reveals that Taylor Swift flew her two private jets roughly 178,000 miles last year to see her beau Travis Kelce and perform her Eras Tour
Taylor used her private planes throughout the Kansas City Chiefs season to watch Travis play. She’s seen boarding her jet in Kansas City in October 2023
And while Swift’s representatives are quick to point out that her jets are often loaned out to others, there is no denying that many of those bounces across countries, continents and oceans were either trips to see Kansas City Chief’s tight-end Travis Kelce, 34, play across a season that saw the team take the Super Bowl, or flights for the busy stars to enjoy some rare down time together.

Week after week last year Swift’s private jet was pictured touching down at a host of destinations where Kelce and the Chiefs were playing; Kansas City, Green Bay, Minneapolis, Denver, Boston…the list goes on.
Often, they were the most fleeting of visits as she bounced back to Nashville or Morristown, New Jersey or Burbank, California after barely a day leaving Kelce to return to his grueling on season training schedule.
It also shows the singer jetting across the US and then down to South America and over to Europe for the international leg of the Eras Tour.
And she’s showing no signs of slowing down.
Environmental campaigners estimate that Swift has dumped 554.5 tons of CO2 so far this year – 205 tons in March alone.
But it’s not all one-way traffic.
Many of the trips were to see Kansas City Chief’s tight-end Travis , 34, play across a season that saw the team take the Super Bowl
Taylor jetted from her Eras Tour in Tokyo to California, where she then set off for Vegas to see her beau play in the Super Bowl
For his part, this year, Kelce has racked up 245 tons of CO2 emissions in private jets taken by the NFL star to and from Swift’s side.
DailyMail.com has calculated that so far this year Swift’s jet has traveled more than 25,586 miles, and all but a handful of the 20 plus flights taken by the aircraft were trips to and from or with Kelce.
That’s not including the flight Swift, 34, chartered to take her from her Eras Tour in Tokyo to California where she hopped onto a private jet that bounced her the 34 minutes from Burbank, California to Las Vegas’s Harry Reid International airport.
