Celebrity Big Brother viewers switched off after finding a remark Louis Walsh made about his fellow housemate Fern Britton ‘uncomfortable’ on Tuesday night’s show.

During the episode, the contestants were competing in Big Brother’s new show You’re Gonna Be A Star.

The former X Factor judge, 71, sat in front of Ekin-Su Culculoglu, Zeze Millz, Lauren Simon, and Fern, 66, and asked: ‘I want to know, honestly, how things are going.’

Ekin-Su, 29, replied: ‘It’s going well’ and Zeze, 32, agreed: ‘It’s actually going well’ before Ekin-Su continued: ‘Everyone’s making an effort and we’re getting there.’

Louis replied: ‘You look great. Even Fern looks good.’

The ladies all turned to look at Fern who reacted immediately, playfully kicking the air in front of Louis.

Louis continued: ‘You know what I mean? You’re looking good.’

Crouching low in front of him, Fern repeated ‘Even Fern?’ while her co-stars told Louis he couldn’t say that.

Unfazed, Louis went on: ‘And you’re looking great, no one said it was easy. But you know, only one of you is going to win. And I can only be honest, and so can Sharon.’

Ekin-Su asked: ‘What advice can you give us please?’

The former Westlife and Boyzone manager quickly answered the Love Island star: ‘Confidence. Sell it. Smile.’

Ekin-Su asked: ‘Can we be sexy?’ and Louis replied: ‘Please!’

He then shamelessly repeated: ‘Even Fern looks good.’

‘I wish they’d shut up, do you?’ he said to Ekin-Su.

The Love Island star laughed and replied: ‘Tell ’em!’

Emboldened, Louis called out: ‘Just shut up, give us a break! It’s all day every day.’

Sharon, 71, and Lauren Simon then arrived in the kitchen with Louis mocking the boys’ noise to his former colleague, he said: ‘It’s too much, Sharon.’

It was then revealed that Broadway star Marisha Wallace will act as Big Brother’s singing coach, whilst Strictly’s Nikita Kuzmin will be the choreographer.

Both people sat on the judging panel alongside Sharon and Louis instead of taking part.

Sharon and Louis were then called to the diary room to chat to Big Brother ahead of their judging gig.

When asked who the best people they’ve worked with in the past are, Louis says: ‘Westlife never let me down, they’re still working, they’re always great.’

Looking at Sharon, he said to her ‘Ozzy Osbourne?’ and she agreed: ‘Ozzy of course, Jeff Lynne, brilliant. Oh, Lemmy! Loved, loved Lemmy’

Louis then said: ‘Girls Aloud did great songs, Nadine is a great singer.’

Speaking of the housemates he thinks have the X Factor, Louis listed: ‘Bradley- definitely, Ekin-Su – probably, and Zeze.’

But it appeared that Louis doesn’t think all of the housemates have what it takes, again laying into Fern: ‘I don’t think she’s right… for the girl group and she’s older.’

He added: ‘We’re gonna put her in the back.’
