Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift ‘ARE planning to get engaged this summer’ – despite reports claiming a proposal isn’t on the cards – after the couple held off over the holidays out of fear it would seem like ‘rushed insanity’
Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift plan to get engaged in the summer after holding off over the holiday season out of fear it would seem like ‘rushed insanity’, according to reports.
Rumors of Kelce popping the question to Swift first began to circulate at the start of last month, with many speculating as to whether the Kansas City Chiefs star would propose on his girlfriend’s 34th birthday – which came on December 13.
When that failed to materialize, The Messenger reported that Travis will not be getting down on one knee anytime soon despite fans clamoring for him to make things official with the pop sensation.
However, it may not be such a cruel summer for those fans after all.
According to Page Six, there is a feeling in Swift’s inner circle that she and Kelce are planning to get engaged this summer.

The couple are said to have held off on Travis proposing through the holidays because ‘they don’t want it to seem like it’s rushed insanity’
It is believed the loved-up couple, who have dominated headlines since going public with their romance back in September, held off on Travis proposing through the holidays because ‘they don’t want it to seem like it’s rushed insanity.’
They are expected to apply the same logic on Valentine’s Day, despite talk of the NFL tight end marking their first celebration together with an engagement ring.
An insider is quoted as saying: ‘Taylor and Travis discussed it and there is a plan.’
There is said to be a buzz that the pair will get engaged on their one-year anniversary in July, having first met a few months before Swift attended her first Chiefs game in September.
The singer and songwriter revealed in an interview with Time that they began hanging out after Kelce admitted trying and failing to give her his phone number on his New Heights podcast in July.
‘We started hanging out right after that,’ she said. ‘So we actually had a significant amount of time that no one knew, which I’m grateful for, because we got to get to know each other.
‘I think some people think that they saw our first date at that game. We would never be psychotic enough to hard launch a first date.’
Kelce and Swift spent the holidays together and were seen sharing a kiss at a glitzy New Year’s Eve party after the latter watched her boyfriend and the Chiefs beat the Cincinnati Bengals 25-17.

The following day Travis was seen driving Taylor to one of his other properties in Kansas City as they recovered from the party on New Year’s Day.
The football star is also feeling the pressure ahead of Valentine’s Day, after briefly mentioning the pressure that comes with trying to find the right gift for his girlfriend while carrying out an advertisement for E-commerce company Etsy on his latest New Heights episode.
‘Whether you’re feeling the Valentine’s Day pressure like [brother] Jason and I,’ Kelce admitted, ‘or trying to figure out the right gift for a significant other, Etsy is the go-to destination for adding that special touch.’
Travis Kelce’s mom Donna stays coy when asked if Taylor Swift will be in her box for Chiefs’ playoff against the Dolphins: ‘I’m not playing that game’
Donna Kelce remained tight-lipped when asked if Taylor Swift will be a guest in her suite at this weekend’s Chiefs vs Dolphins game.
Donna, the mom of Kansas City tight end Travis Kelce, has sat alongside Swift at several NFL games since her son’s new girlfriend visited Arrowhead for the first time back in September.
Yet it remains to be seen whether the pop sensation makes another appearance for Travis and the Chiefs’ Wild Card Round game against Miami on Saturday, especially given a wind chill of -30 degrees is expected in Kansas City.
One person who will be there this weekend is Donna, and during a recent interview with Extra TV the 71-year-old was grilled on who else is set to join her in their box at Arrowhead.

She was recently grilled on Extra TV as to whether the pop star will be at Saturday’s game
‘I will be in the skybox,’ she said. ‘And so it won’t be too cold, but the windows will be open and I am in the first row, so it’s still cold. I have to have a blanket and I’ll have my winter coat on.’
But she refused to shed light on whether Swift will be alongside her.
‘Not doing it,’ she laughed. ‘I’m not playing that game.’
So what about Brittany Mahomes – the wife of Chiefs quarterback Patrick and Taylor’s new BFF?
‘No, she won’t be there,’ Donna replied. ‘She’s got her own box.’
She then added: ‘My brother, Uncle Donnie will be there.’
Just like her son, Donna has seen her own levels of fame skyrocket in recent years.
The NFL’s most famous mom – whose other son, Jason, has spent the last 13 years with the Philadelphia Eagles – first went viral on social media when her two sons went up against each other in last season’s Super Bowl.
She opted to wear a half-and-half Eagles-Chiefs jersey to the game while supporting her two boys, before Travis gained bragging rights over his brother in Arizona.

Donna has also gained huge attention on the back of Travis’ relationship with Swift, which has dominated headlines in recent months.
As a result, she was even named as one of People magazine’s 25 Most Intriguing People of 2023.
‘I don’t know if intriguing is the correct word, but yes, I’ve been having a blast this past year,’ Donna said.
‘It’s kind of a surreal moment, very exciting. Met a lot of really neat people, a lot of really fun experiences. It’s been a definite blast.’
