The 2024 NCAA Women’s Basketball national championship will be determined today when the Iowa Hawkeyes take on the South Carolina Gamecocks at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland, Ohio.

While many are expected to tune in to see Caitlin Clark attempt to win that elusive national title by beating an undefeated South Carolina squad, there is one thing that could prevent some from viewing this epic clash, and a ton of angry fans have taken to social media to voice their displeasure over it.

Specifically, we’re taking about the time of today’s NCAA Women’s national title game, as tipoff has been scheduled for 3 pm Eastern Time.

It’s not exactly the most convenient time, seeing as how many people have functions during the day on Sundays. Whether that prevents Iowa from setting another viewership record remains to be seen, but the 3pm tipoff has definitely drawn the ire of fans on “X”.

NCAA Women’s National Title Is On The Line In Epic Matchup

With the tipoff time earlier than usual, both teams will need to make sure they are ready to go from the start.

Iowa comes into the game having taken care of a couple of powerhouses in LSU and UConn over their last two contests, but South Carolina should pose an even greater threat to Caitlin Clark and company, as they enter today’s game with a perfect 37-0 record.

The Gamecocks have run through the competition in the tournament thus far, winning their previous five games by an average of 26.8 points. They’ve looked unbeatable, but they too are about to face their toughest test yet, as they look to do what no team has been able to do yet — slow down Caitlin Clark.
