Celebrity Big Brother 2024’s most dramatic moments as the final looms: From Ekin-Su Culculoglu’s floods of tears to Louis Walsh’s scathing attacks

The live final of Celebrity Big Brother 2024 is just hours away, with fans eagerly waiting to see who will be crowned the winner.

After almost three weeks of nominations, tears and drama, the iconic reality show will come to an end on March 22, with the final batch of housemates bidding farewell to their home for good.

ITV announced last year that they were bringing back Big Brother after it was axed by Channel 5 in 2018, and since hitting screens, it hasn’t disappointed.

It’s no surprise that Celebrity Big Brother’s return has produced its fair share of dramatic moments, including rows, nomination twists and even a love triangle.

So, as fans count down to the grand final, here is a look-back at some of the most dramatic moments of the series…

Ekin-Su breaking down in hysterical tears after dramatic nominations

Ekin-Su broke down in hysterical tears after Marisha picked her in the face-face nominations.

The Love Island star, 29, stormed off to bed as Marisha, 38, followed her to apologise – as she raged about her reason for nominating her and branded the theatre star as ‘fake’.

However despite her dramatic performance, Ekin-Su appears to be the one to have moved on as she shoots Marisha down after she checks in on the star in Friday’s episode.

As Marisha asked Ekin-Su in the kitchen, ‘How are you feeling now?’, the reality star bluntly replied: ‘Do me one favour – just let it go.’

Marisha continued, ‘I’m going to let it go. But please can I just tell you that I’m sorry though.’

Ekin-Su quipped back, ‘I’ve accepted it, it’s fine. I appreciate you being remorseful about it. And I just needed a bit of space. But I’m good now. We’re good now.’

As the two seemed to put the argument to bed, Marisha said, ‘I know but I just felt like I panicked and I’m sorry’ and Ekin-Su added, ‘It’s ok, honestly, it’s ok.’

Marisha responds: ‘And I just felt hurt that you were hurt. It hurt me seeing you like that’, as Ekin-Su says, ‘Of course. You’re my friend in here.’

In her nomination Marisha said: ‘I know if I get to the final I can’t beat you. I know that if you get to the final with me, you will win the public vote.

With Ekin-Su visibly seething, she added: ‘I know that if we go head-to-head you have a huge following, you played these games before, you know how to win, and if I want to win this, if I ever have a chance, I wouldn’t have a chance against you. I know that for sure.’

After Ekin-Su raged: ‘I knew this was gonna happen, this judging me because I’ve been on a show before.

‘You’ve been close to me this whole time, so you’ve been fake with me this whole time.’

She then shouted that Marisha could ‘have the crown’ in reference to her earlier comment about winning the show.

She then started crying but viewers were quick to brand them crocodile tears.

Louis Walsh hasn’t held back on his opinions of his fellow celebs on the outside world during his time in the ITV house.

And the music manager laid into his former act Jedward in yet another scathing rant on the show.

The former X Factor star, 71, branded the singing double act, whose real names are John and Edward Grimes, ‘vile’ when he was asked what he thought of them.

Louis was quizzed on his opinion of the Irish stars after managing them for four years between 2009 and 2013, after shooting to stardom on the X Factor.

Colson Smith asked Louis: ‘What were Jedward like?’

And Louis replied: ‘They were vile.’

Colson said:’ They’ve done well’, and Louis said: ‘I got £5million from them. I swear on my mother’s life.’

Clearly impressed, Colson quipped back: ‘B****y hell, I wish I had a Jedward.’

Doubling down on his opinion, Louis added: ‘And they were vile. But they were novelty. It was great for the show. It was all about the show’.

Despite his negativity on the twins, it appeared to be a lucrative partnership, as Louis revealed that they ‘made him £5million’ while under his management.

Taking to X moments after Louis’ comments aired, Jedward hit back at their former manager.

They wrote: ‘Louis Walsh is a cold hearted b*****d who didn’t even send us flowers when our mom died.’ Their mother, Suzannah, tragically died from cancer in 2019.

The twin brothers previously branded Louis a ‘cold-hearted two-faced b***h’ during a social media attack three years ago.

CBB: Nikita knocks over Marisha and Fern in balloon battle

Fern Britton injured her head after colliding with Nikita Kuzmin during Wednesday’s chaotic task.

The housemates were put into two teams to compete against each other in Pops Off, where they had to try and burst the opposing team’s balloons.

Zeze Mills, Marisha Wallace, Bradley Riches and Fern made up the yellow team, while the red team consisted of Nikita, David Potts, Colson Smith and Louis Walsh .

When the game kicked off, Fern and Marisha ran to the bedroom and tried to hold Nikita back, but Fern ended up hitting her head on the ottoman in the middle of the room.

They were forced to pause the game as Big Brother asked someone to help Fern to the Diary Room, where she rested, was checked by a medic and then sat out the rest of the task.

Nikita was upset with himself for getting ‘too competitive’ during the game, and when Big Brother assured them Fern was fine and asked them to play on, he wasn’t keen.

Nikita said: ‘You can banish me I don’t give a s**t I’m not playing this game, it’s a stupid idea, who organises this, you are better than that.’

Big Brother responded: ‘Housemates the game got going at a frantic rate, you don’t need to play it like that, you can play it at your own pace.’

‘I think she’s the C-word’: Sharon Osbourne drops celeb truth bombs

Sharon Osbourne slammed James Corden , Anna Wintour and Ellen DeGeneres in a preview clip of Thursday’s episode of Celebrity Big Brother.

The former X Factor judge, 71, had some choice words for some of her fellow celebrities as she recalled some of her A-list encounters.

Speaking with Louis Walsh and Gary Goldsmith, Sharon admitted she thinks James is a name dropper and called Anna ‘the C-word’.

Chatting with Sharon and Louis, Gary said: ‘When my friends talk about people they know or people they’ve met, we would always take the mick and say, “well if you drop the names, I’ll pick them up.”‘

Sharon replied: ‘I’ll tell you who does that, James Corden. He does that all the time.’

The star claimed James likes to tell people what designer clothes he owns and she also thinks he ‘played the L.A. game’ when he left the UK for Hollywood.

She said: ‘I go to him, “I really like your shoes,” and he goes, “Yeah, Stella McCartney.” I’m like, I didn’t ask you who made them, I just said I like your shoes. He played the L.A. game really well.’

Louis said: ‘Kissing all the right people. Anna Wintour, mwah, mwah.’

Sharon replied: ‘Oh she loves him, loves him. But who loves Anna Wintour? I think she’s the C-word.’

‘Yeah, she is,’ Louis agreed. ‘And Ellen DeGeneres?’

Sharon then mimed vomiting at the mention of the American comedian’s name.

Layton Williams shuts down Ekin-Su’s attempt to ‘blame the edit’

Celebrity Big Brother: Late & Live descended into chaos Friday evening as Ekin-Su clashed with Layton Williams after her eviction from the house on Friday.

The Love Island star was left looking rather sheepish after attempting to ‘blame the edit’ for her unfair portrayal on the show in light of her explosive argument with Marisha Wallace during Thursday’s episode.

Ekin-Su broke down in hysterical tears after Marisha picked her in the face-face nominations before storming off to her bed as the musical star followed to apologise.

Speaking about the dramatic performance, which saw Ekin-Su branding the theatre star as ‘fake’, Layton shot back at the reality star as he revealed his full support for Marisha in the confrontation.

Ekin exclaimed: ‘ When Marisha nominated me that actually showed me her true colours, that she had been thinking about winning the game the whole time.’

Host AJ Odudu attempted to reason with the star as she suggested: ‘Well what we have got to remember, you know she’s American it’s strategy, game playing.’

But Layton was quick to intervene as he explained: ‘Marisha had to pick someone basically and she did pick you, just like you picked Louis.

‘Louis squashed it you know and kind of kept it moving and unfortunately you dragged it on and I kind of did feel for Marisha in that moment.

‘I was like, you know what this is her big day, she had just been told she had been nominated for an Olivier Award and to see her crying in the Big Brother…’ as Ekin-Su interrupted: ‘You haven’t seen everything they have cut stuff out but ok.’

Yet Layton was having none of it, as he hit back: ‘Don’t blame it on the edit, one thing we are not going to do is blame it on the edit.

‘We’re not blaming it on the edit girl. We see what we see and it was just a shame, it was a big shame.’

Sinitta visits Louis before final and tells him to ‘be nice’

Sinitta made a surprise appearance in the Celebrity Big Brother house, days before the final.

The 80s icon, 60, head into the villa to give one particular housemate ‘a few home truths’, just weeks after she issued a furious rant at former X Factor judge Louis Walsh , 71.

Sintta, who appeared as a mentor numerous times on the ITV talent show and is close friends of it’s creator Simon Cowell, was embroiled in a row following Louis’ shock admissions in the house.

The housemates were treated to a surprise visit from a loved one as a reward for merely completing their CBB journey.

Each star will get one minute to chat with their selected person from home, while their fellow housemates watch live from the lounge.

While it has not been revealed what housemate Sinitta is visiting, she could have a few things to say to fellow pal Louis when she arrives.

She says: ‘I need to tell you a few home truths baby…’

Fern Britton butt heads with Nikita Kuzmin over a striped top.

As the housemates enjoy playing a game on the sofas, Fern pours Nikita a drink and says, ‘You and I get on alright when we’re playing games. Can I tell you? How old are you now?’

As Nikita answers that he is 26, Fern replies, ‘When you’re 66, you’ll have exactly the same brain which is why you have to understand that I’ve still got a 26 year old brain.’

Baffled as to where the conversation is heading, Nikita says: ‘I’m a bit confused about this.’

Fern then responds, ‘You shouldn’t be confused. You never change your brain. Everything is hilarious – all bum jokes, all c**k jokes. Everything is still as it is when you’re 66.’

Even more perplexed, the Strictly professional asks: ‘Are we having a beef? What’s happening?’

Fern then finally gets to her point as she explains: ‘I’m just saying never look at an old person and think they’re old. We’re still in our heads 26.’

Still confused Nikita probes, ‘Referring to?’

Fern then brings up a comment Nikita made previously when he complimented her fashion sense after she wore a striped top.

She continues: ‘When you said to me the other day, you were very sweet. “I like your stripy top, stripes are in fashion Fern.”

‘Bless you, you were passing me a compliment but also saying “actually they’re in fashion” as if it was a surprise to me. It wasn’t a surprise.’

CBB sneak peek! Eviction night looms as housemates face public vote

Lauren Simon’s shocking rule break caused huge waves in the Celebrity Big Brother house, as she clashed with Zeze Mills after saying she ‘hated’ her.

The housemates were stunned when it was revealed that Lauren and Louis Walsh had broke the rules by discussing nominations.

Big Brother read Louis and Lauren’s conversation to the rest of the house, including Lauren referring to Zeze when she says, ‘She hates me.’

When asked to stand up, Lauren attempted to apologise by saying: ‘I’m sorry for putting you all in this situation. I was talking about my emotions and how I was feeling about being nominated.

‘In fairness, I’m living with a group of people who I have grown to love and adore and it’s upset me that a few different people, not just one person, has nominated me.

‘I’m sorry for getting everyone in this situation and I apologise.’

Louis stood up and says: ‘I couldn’t understand how she was nominated because she’s such a great person. I didn’t want to lose her. That’s all.’

Big Brother then revealed Louis and Lauren’s punishment by saying: ‘Louis and Lauren. Wrap up warm and then please make your way into the garden where you will place yourselves in the Celebrity Wheelie Bin of Shame until further notice.’

Big Brother added: ‘Whilst you’re in the Celebrity Wheelie Bin of Shame, you must together write a meaningful letter of apology to the rest of the Housemates.’

While Zeze was visibly furious by the admission, things took a tense turn when Lauren attempted to explain herself in the bedroom.

Zeze said: ‘I’m not bothered. I just don’t like the word hate. It’s a strong word. We’ve never had a conversation where you could feel like I hate you.’

Lauren said: ‘I’m going to tell you the conversation. When I was making the fruit salad, you took the oranges and did it your way. You went over to the table in front of my face and said ‘This isn’t good enough for Lauren’. It wasn’t banter. It was rude to me.’

Zeze said: ‘Come and talk to me then. Don’t use the word hate because you know it’s not hate.’

Lauren noted that ‘hate was too strong,’ before offering her apologies, but as Zeze walks away, the Real Housewives Of Cheshire star attempted to clarify.

Zeze hit back: ‘I don’t want to hear anything else,’ before Lauren adds: ‘Don’t talk about me in front of me in a derogatory way.’

‘Lauren don’t start using words like derogatory,’ it’s horrible,’ Zeze adds.

But Lauren claimed that Zeze’s comments about the oranges were ‘horrible,’ the social media star was quick to question her words.

Fans slam CBB after ‘brutal’ twist sees Bradley Riches EVICTED

Viewers were left shocked on Thursday night, as Bradley Riches was evicted in a brutal twist.

Following the double eviction of Marisha Wallace and Zeze Millz on Tuesday, hosts Will Best and AJ Odudu revealed that despite there being six contestants left, only five will make it to the end due to another eviction.

The public was given the vote to save their favourite housemate, with Bradley, 22, ending up being booted out a day before the grand final.

However, viewers slammed the show for the way they sent the Heartstopper actor packing, branding it ‘brutal and cruel’.

The episode saw the housemates being treated to a surprise visit from a loved one in the secret rendezvous spot.

Each of the celebrities got one minute to chat with their partner, friend or family member, while their fellow housemates watched live from the lounge.

However, when it came to Bradley’s turn to anxiously sit on the park bench, he was shocked to be met by host AJ.

She broke the news to the star that he would not get to see a loved one, as she was instead letting him know he was to be evicted after receiving the least votes.

His housemates gasped in shock at the revelation, while Bradley tried to hide his disappointment.

He gave AJ a hug and said: ‘I’ve had so much fun. I didn’t think I was going to make it this far. I’m so proud of everyone and I’m very thankful, very grateful and very happy.’

Bradley was able to go back to the house one final time to say his goodbyes, before he was sent home in a backdoor eviction.

Hugging the other celebrities, he said: ‘I love you all so much, it’s fine! I’ve had the best time, I really have, thank you all so much. I’m so proud of myself.’

A crying Fern said: ‘So you should be, we’re all proud of you.’

But viewers were left fuming by the twist and took to social media to call it ‘cruel’ and declare that Bradley ‘deserved better’.

Is anyone safe from Louis Walsh’s acid tongue? As CBB viewers call for talent show judge to be removed from the show after his shock outbursts a look at all the stars he’s attacked

Louis Walsh hasn’t held back since entering the Celebrity Big Brother house, hitting out at a number of high profile figures.

Speaking in his entry tape, the 71-year-old music manager warned viewers of his candour, admitting: ‘I say things I shouldn’t say, my mouth has got me into trouble. I’m not easy to live with.’

It’s a trait that Louis has demonstrated almost daily on the show, with his latest outburst seeing him take aim at the members of Take That during a chat with Sharon Osbourne, 71.

Yet while initially entertained, viewers have grown tired of the star’s constant putdowns and scathing attacks, with some even calling on producers to remove him from the show.

Now MailOnline takes a look at all the stars that have fallen victims to Louis’ acid tongue during his time on the show.

Louis’ latest outburst came on Wednesday’s episode when he launched into a tirade about Take That.

His remarks were aimed at Mark Owen and Jason Orange, as he revealed his opinion on the singers to pal Sharon Osbourne.

Sharon had said she the thought ‘all of the members of Take That’ were ‘good people’, before Louis weighed in on what he thought of the band.

The music manager said he thought Mark, 52, was ‘looking old’, while he also queried why Jason, 53, left the band because he ‘didn’t have to do much’.

Louis said: ‘What happened to Jason? He was a nice guy. He was just gone. Poof! I don’t know why he left, he only had to do a bit of dancing.’

Clearly amused by Louis’ view, Sharon scoffed and repeated: ‘A bit of dancing!’

Louis clarified: ‘That’s all he had to do. He wasn’t a singer. Gary and Mark covered the vocals. Mark has gotten very old.’

Louis also caused outrage after labelling the twin brothers, John and Edward Grimes ‘vile’, when he was quizzed on what he thought of them by his co-star Colson Smith.

Colson had asked Louis, who managed the pair four four years: ‘What were Jedward like?’

The Irishman replied: ‘They were vile.’

Colson said: ‘They’ve done well’, and Louis said: ‘I got £5million from them. I swear on my mother’s life.’

Clearly impressed, Colson quipped back: ‘B****y hell, I wish I had a Jedward.’

Doubling down on his opinion, Louis added: ‘And they were vile. But they were novelty. It was great for the show. It was all about the show.’

That saw the brothers – now 32 – launch into a series of scathing online accusations in response.

They kicked off by calling him a ‘cold-hearted b****d who didn’t even send us flowers when our mom died’ – the twins lost their mum Susanna to cancer in 2019.

Following the music manager’s remarks, Jedward insisted that ‘justice would be served’, as they continued the tirade on their X account.

While inside the house, Louis reignited his longstanding feud with Ronan Keating, whose career he managed while he was a member of Boyzone.

The housemates were treated to some music during an episode and Ronan’s solo single Life Is A Rollercoaster started playing.

‘Great song,’ Louis said before leaning over to Sharon and adding: ‘He was such a p***k.’

He then said: ‘Everybody thinks he’s a lovely guy, do you know what I mean?’

As the song continued to play, Louis criticised Ronan’s career, saying: ‘He hasn’t had a hit record since I left. He sacked me.’

Louis has taken numerous swipes at Ronan over the years, including previously calling him ‘talentless and spoiled’.

He mentioned the 1984 musical Starlight Express which Andrew wrote the music for and Sharon said she loved.

‘Never saw it Sharon,’ Louis said to which Sharon replied: ‘Oh, it was so good.’

Louis said: ‘He’s a bit of a freak, Lloyd Webber, strange man.’

‘I thought he was gay,’ Sharon said.

‘No, the opposite,’ Louis said. ‘He was married to Sarah Brightman, she has an amazing voice.’

Andrew was married to Sarah from 1984 to 1990. He married Madeleine Gurdon the following year who he has been with since.

Louis and Sharon let rip at fellow X Factor judge Simon Cowell in a shock outburst as Sharon said she wouldn’t work for Simon again, ‘not for all the money in the world’.

The star revealed the X Factor head judge prevented her from landing a huge job on The Masked Singer in the US due to contractual obligations involving X Factor.

As Louis nodded along in agreement he revealed he hasn’t spoken to Simon since the X Factor days as he added: ‘I haven’t talked to him at all, nothing. Zero’.

While speaking to The Sun moments before he entered the CBB house, Louis threw shade at Simon’s ‘stupid clothes and new faces’.

He said: ‘I love him. I think the world of him, I really do. I know his faults. I know he’s not perfect. He wears stupid clothes, stupid haircut, new faces… his face has changed so much.

‘I’ve always had a fantastic time with him. I wouldn’t be here but for him. But I’ll gossip as much as I can about him, as often as I can… as safely as I can.

‘But we’re going to be on mic, so we can’t talk that much about everything we know!’

Yet Simon took his remarks on the chin as when asked about Sharon and Louis’ involvement on the show, he simply said: ‘I think they could both win.’

Sharon suggested Simon ‘doesn’t know how to keep friends’ and suggested the name: ‘Sinitta.’

Louis was quick to reply: ‘I like her, she’s mad but she’s very loyal to him.’

Sharon interjected: ‘Oh dedicated her life to him,’ before Louis added: ‘I like her, if you know what I mean. There’s something. Harmless.’

While Louis’ comments about Sinitta were more reserved than his other comments, he has been accused of lying about how they met.

Taking to X/Twitter, Sinitta wrote: ‘I introduced #louiswalsh to @SimonCowell, back in the day LouLou was my promoter and driver taking me all over Ireland to radio stations and clubs to promote my Records…. He was great fun and took great care of me, how has he forgotten our early days?!!!’

The Duchess of Sussex, 42, was the latest in The X Factor judges’ firing line.

Louis and Sharon were seen sitting in the kitchen chatting with Fern Britton, 66, when they discussed the Royal Family, with Sharon claiming Meghan ‘puts it on’ and is ‘acting the whole time’.

Speaking of Kate Middleton, Louis said: ‘She is a lovely lady I met her at the Chelsea Flower Show last year, and I said “did you call your son after me?” She was charming.’

Fern replied: ‘What big shoes to step into with Diana and wearing the iconic engagement ring.’

Joining the conversation, Sharon added: ‘Can you imagine if that ring had gone to Meghan? Oh my god.’

Louis asked: ‘Does anyone like her? Does anyone even like her, other than Harry?’

Sharing her opinion, Fern said: ‘She is mysterious, I would like to believe what I see that she is a loving mother and wife but I also feel there is manipulation behind all of that’.

Louis asked: ‘Sharon you feel like that don’t you?’ to which she replied: ‘Very much so, yes very much I think it is all put on. I think she is acting the whole time’.

‘I just want Harry and the children to be happy and for Harry to come home and make up with William and do what he is good at,’ added Fern.

Louis’ fellow housemates haven’t been safe from his harsh words either, with the star rounding on Fern Britton.

During nominations he put the former This Morning host up for eviction, reasoning: ‘I think the others deserve to be there. Fern is just there. She’s like wallpaper.

‘She’s really nice but it’s not bringing anything. Who can we do without? It’s Fern.’

He also put Fern down during the shopping task, You’re Gonna Be A Star, which saw the house form a girlband and boy group with Louis judging.

The former X Factor judge sat in front of Ekin-Su Culculoglu, Zeze Millz, Lauren Simon, and Fern and asked: ‘I want to know, honestly, how things are going.’

Ekin-Su, 29, replied: ‘It’s going well’ and Zeze, 32, agreed: ‘It’s actually going well’ before Ekin-Su continued: ‘Everyone’s making an effort and we’re getting there.’

Louis replied: ‘You look great. Even Fern looks good.’

The ladies all turned to look at Fern who reacted immediately, playfully kicking the air in front of Louis.

Louis continued: ‘You know what I mean? You’re looking good.’

Crouching low in front of him, Fern repeated ‘Even Fern?’ while her co-stars told Louis he couldn’t say that.
