Ronan Keating has said Louis Walsh is ‘showing his true colours’ as he fought the urge to ‘air dirty laundry’ during a TV appearance on Friday.

The former X Factor judge, 71, reignited his longstanding feud with the singer, 47, during his stint on Celebrity Big Brother in which he branded him a ‘p***k’ to housemate Sharon Osbourne.

Louis managed Ronan while he was a member of Boyzone, however he was later sacked when his solo career rocketed after leaving the Irish boyband.

Speaking to host Patrick Kielty on The Late Late Show, he explained: ‘I’ve never been one to air my dirty laundry in public, especially when it comes to Louis and myself.

‘He does a very good job of that and I think he’s showing his true colours in there and I’ll leave him be.’

Recalling his first Boyzone audition, Ronan added: ‘The next day I went to work and I was working in a shoe shop in Dublin and I thought I was God’s gift, after that first one I thought we could do no wrong.

‘Little did we know in the weeks that followed after that the video would appear in more and more places, and people were laughing at us actually rather than applauding us.’

Last week the Celebrity Big Brother housemates were treated to some music and Ronan’s solo single Life Is A Rollercoaster started playing.

‘Great song,’ Louis said before leaning over to Sharon Osbourne and adding: ‘He was such a p***k.’

He then said: ‘Everybody thinks he’s a lovely guy, do you know what I mean?’

As the song continued to play, Louis criticised Ronan’s career, saying: ‘He hasn’t had a hit record since I left. He sacked me.’

Louis has taken numerous swipes at Ronan over the years, including previously calling him ‘talentless and spoiled’.

In an interview with Q Magazine in 2012, he said: ‘His head got turned by having nice hotels and chauffeur-driven cars, and he thought he could write songs.

‘If you’re Ronan Keating, who was working in a shoe shop when I discovered him, but end [up] thinking you’re George Michael, then you need to be stopped.’

Ronan has fired back on occasion and previously said on Magic FM that he didn’t want to work with someone who didn’t respect him.

He said: ‘[Louis] was very important to me as a mentor and I’m grateful for the opportunities he gave me, because I wouldn’t be here without them.

‘But there’s only so much you can give back and be so grateful, and for that not to be appreciated or respected.’

It comes after Ronan slammed his former manager Louis branding him a ‘jealous bulls****er’ in a foul-mouthed rant in audio obtained by The Sun.

Ronan also lifted the lid on why he sacked the music manger when his solo career rocketed after leaving the Irish boyband.

In the recording, from the height of their feud in 2006, Ronan can be heard fuming to biographer Rob McGibbon how Louis had ‘really hurt’ him.

Saying:  ‘I’ve no respect for Louis because he has none for me. He was very jealous of me.

‘I had to sack him because he wouldn’t manage me. He’s a very selfish character. It’s bullsh** man. He’s a bullsh***er.’

MailOnline have contacted Ronan’s representatives for comment.
