TOWIE star Roman said Chloe had twisted his words and admitted she was lucky he didn’t press charges against her after she threw three glasses at him during a row back in September.
ROMAN Hackett has broken his silence on his explosive bust up with Chloe Brockett.
The Towie star said Chloe had twisted his words and admitted she was lucky he didn’t press charges against her after she threw three glasses at him during a row back in September.

Roman, 22, has never previously spoken about their argument but said he felt forced to set the record straight after Chloe gave her version of events.
Roman said: “Watching the footage back of Chloe throwing the glasses at me, I was shocked.
“It happened so fast I didn’t realise how bad it was at the time. I could have pressed charges, but I didn’t as I didn’t want to go through the hassle.”
“Since this happened, I’ve not said a single thing publicly about it out of respect for Chloe and the show. But now I feel like I have to say something.”
During the altercation, Chloe, 23, claimed Roman branded her a “fat c***”, which happened during filming for Towie in a bar in Essex.
The pair were having cross words, where it was believed that Chloe and Roman both swore at each other multiple times.
Following this Chloe then threw a drink at Roman. He threw one back at her, which seemingly prompted Chloe to throw three glasses at Roman with force, which all hit him on his body.
While Roman is apologetic about his use of the words, he insisted he only said it after he walked away from the scene and it was said out of frustration after she threw the glasses at him.
Insiders working on the show also told The Sun how they would never have allowed glasses to be present on set if they knew that drinks were going to be thrown.
Roman added: “Chloe said I called her a ‘Fat c***,’ and made it out like I was in her face saying this.
“I did say those words but not directly to her. I said it as I walked away out of frustration because she had just thrown three glasses at me. It may not have been the best choice of words, but I had just been assaulted unexpectedly and I was in complete shock.
“I never said those words to her face and nor would I. She only heard those words after watching back the footage just like I did.
“She has made it sound like I said that to her and she then threw the glasses as a result, but that wasn’t the case.
“I walked away and as I walked away, I said it. I didn’t scream it or shout it in her face, I said it under my breath.
“I did her a favour by not saying anything, but I won’t stand for someone making false allegations.”
Following the assault, Roman said Chloe reached out to him and apologised around a week later.
Shortly afterwards, Roman said he received a phone call from someone threatening him.
He explained: “About a week after it happened Chloe messaged me saying sorry for what she said, I was shocked she didn’t apologise for throwing the glasses.
“I didn’t message her back. I’ve not had any contact with her at all.
“Not long after Chloe’s half-hearted apology, someone associated closely with her called me up threatening me about it.
“They said they were calling on her behalf. It’s ridiculous that she’s assaulted me, then stupidly got someone to call me and try to threaten me, and now I’m having to defend myself against her lies.
“I’ve got Chloe apologising to me then someone calling me up threatening me about it.
“But I still didn’t say anything about the situation, I’ve moved on.
Roman, who will appear in the new series of Towie which starts on Sunday at 9pm on ITVBE and ITVX, also hit back at Chloe’s claims that their love triangle with Dani Imbert was staged.
Chloe alleged the scenes had been created for dramatic effect, a claim Towie has denied.
Roman has backed up their denial and said the romance between them was real.
He said: “When me and Chloe first got together it was outside of the show.
“We kissed and we started talking and that got brought into the show. I then realised I still had feelings for Dani.
“For Chloe to say it was all faked is a complete lie.”
Chloe will not be returning to Towie after she departed last month after five years on the show.
“This was last September, and I had no interest in speaking on the situation, I had moved on but after her false allegations last week I felt I had to speak about it.”
He added: “I wish Chloe all the best.
“The friendship we had was over for me as soon as she threw those glasses. Who does that to their friend?
“I am only speaking out to set the narrative straight and to make clear what happened that day.
Roman was not paid for his interview with The Sun.
