Prince Harry officially confirms he won’t see dad King Charles in London due to monarch’s ‘full’ schedule: statement

Prince Harry will not be meeting up with King Charles in London this week, The Post can confirm.

The Duke of Sussex on Tuesday returned to London to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games.

The trip marks the first time since his visit to see his estranged father following the king’s cancer diagnosis in February, as well as his first trip since learning of his sister-in-law Kate Middleton’s cancer diagnosis in March.

“In response to the many inquiries and continued speculation on whether or not the duke will meet with his father while in the UK this week, it unfortunately will not be possible due to His Majesty’s full program,” a spokesperson for Harry told The Post on Tuesday.

“The duke, of course, is understanding of his father’s diary of commitments and various other priorities and hopes to see him soon.”

The king’s busy schedule includes his weekly audience with United Kingdom Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, as well as the first Buckingham Palace garden party of the season and previous engagements.

The Post has reached out to Buckingham Palace for comment.

The father of two is expected to give a reading at London’s St Paul’s Cathedral on May 8 to mark a decade since the inaugural Invictus Games took place in the capital.

It appears as though the exiled royal has been snubbed by his entire family in the UK, as no plans have been made to see him during his brief visit to London.

Not only that, but Harry has been forced to book a hotel room ahead of his trip after not being offered a bed at any royal residences peppered across the country.

It won’t be the first time Harry stays at a hotel during a mad dash to the capital, which he opted to do during his blink-and-you-miss-it trip in February.

It’s believed that the trip will be another solo venture for Harry as his wife, Meghan Markle, and their two children — Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet — are expected to stay home.

However, Markle and Harry will jet off to Nigeria later this month.
