Louis Walsh told Sharon Osbourne who he reckons has got the X Factor in the Celebrity Big Brother house ahead of the eagerly-awaited eviction on ITV tonight

Louis Walsh made a sly dig Fern Britton ahead of the eviction tonight as he rated the housemates in Celebrity Big Brother.

The boy band manager, 71, was talking to Sharon Osbourne, also 71, about who had the X Factor in the house following their stint on the ITV talent show’s panel. When called to the diary room to discuss who they believe are the real stars of Celebrity Big brother as they get ready to the show’s ‘You’re Gonna Be A Star’ competition tonight, Louis said: “Bradley- definitely, Ekin-Su – probably, and Zeze.”

However, unable to resist a cheeky dig at ex-This Morning host, Fern, 66, he quipped: ” I don’t think she’s right… for the girl group and she’s older.” Before adding: “We’re gonna put her in the back”.

Earlier in the evening, Louis turned on Fern as he nominated her for eviction. The X Factor judge blasted the former This Morning presenter for being “like wallpaper” and said she’s ‘not bringing anything’ to the house. Not holding back, he said: “I think the others deserve to be there. Fern is just there. She’s like wallpaper. She’s really nice but it’s not bringing anything. Who can we do without? It’s Fern.”

However, in yet more drama surrounding the former Westlife manager, Louis is up for eviction himself after his pal Sharon had the option to save him from the chop – and didn’t. On Monday night, the Irishman found himself nominated by his housemates, while Lauren Simon and Zeze Millz also received the most amount of votes.

But with Sharon having watched the entire nominations process from a secret room, she was told the power would soon be in her hands. As the stars were gathered to the sofas to be told which of them would face the public vote, Lauren, Louis and Zeze were told they were nominated the most.

Sharon then learned it was now up to her to save one of the three housemates from eviction, and she chose to save Zeze. Viewers were stunned, given her former co-star Louis – who is thought to be a good friend of hers – was also an option to be saved. Instead, Mrs O went for Zeze leaving Louis up for eviction, before Sharon was tasked with nominating another person. She put Fern up for the public vote, with one name being booted out on Tuesday night.

Louis looked annoyed and surprised at Sharon, but claimed it made sense as “it would have been too obvious” if she had saved him. But when The Osbournes star walked away, her friend looked frustrated, even though Sharon told ‘Lulu’ the public would save him from the vote.

After their tense exchange, Louis later rallied, telling Big Brother who his all-time favourite people to work with were ahead of the gig tonight. “Westlife never let me down, they’re still working, they’re always great,” he said before adding: “Girls Aloud did great songs, Nadine is a great singer.”
