Jason and Travis Kelce’s incredible year reached New Heights on Monday when the popular NFL duo scooped Podcast of the Year at the iHeart Radio Awards.
The brothers have enjoyed a wild few months, with Travis winning the Super Bowl and Jason retiring from football – while their podcast also shot to the top of the charts.
Now, the Kelces have been rewarded with a trophy after their New Heights Show beat out the likes of My Favorite Murder and SmartLess to win Podcast of the Year.
Neither brother was in attendance at the ceremony in Austin, Texas, but they did record a video message for the audience, in which Travis joked: ‘Get the f*** outta here… people actually listen to this?’
Beginning their acceptance speech, Jason said: ‘Right now, we are actually talking to the entire iHeart Radio Awards audience,’ before Travis added: ‘Oh s***, well we wish we could be there guys, but we are honored to accept this award.’
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end then added: ‘Podcast of the Year is big s***,’ before Jason continued: ‘It’s an incredible honor, especially for two jabronis like us.
‘To receive an award like this is beyond humbling, and we would be remiss if we didn’t immediately thank all the 92 percenters, AKA Swifties, for voting for us.’
Earlier in the night, the Kelce brothers had also won Best Overall Ensemble, but had missed out on Best Sports Podcast to Shannon Sharpe’s Club Shay Shay.
In accepting his award on stage, Sharpe joked: ‘I wanted to win this award so bad. No, seriously.’
Although the Kelces couldn’t be in attendance personally, Travis is back on US soil after spending time with his girlfriend Taylor Swift in both Australia and Singapore.
The pop sensation is continuing her sold-out Eras Tour, and Travis joined her for a handful of shows after the end of the NFL season.

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce reunited in Singapore this week for Swift’s latest leg of the Eras Tour.
While Swift’s tour opener, Sabrina Carpenter, returned promptly to Los Angeles to go to the Vanity Fair Oscar after-party with her boyfriend, Barry Keoghan, Swift and Kelce weren’t photographed at any parties.
British Vogue did report that they attended Madonna and Guy Oseary’s “notoriously private” Oscar after-party though. No pictures have emerged of them yet.
Their absence from red carpets is understandable, at the very least. Swift is fresh off of headlining a week of shows in Singapore and may have wanted a more private night back in the U.S.
Swift did not attend the Oscars, although she did have an invitation. Show producer Katy Mullan told Indie Wire, “Listen, we all love Taylor. She’s the best cheerleader you could ever possibly have in any audience, whether it’s the NFL or an award show. So if she wants to get on a plane and come to the Oscars, then we’ll hold a seat for her, 100 percent.”
It’s been many years since Swift posed at an Oscar after-party. While she and ex Joe Alwyn were seen showing PDA inside the Vanity Fair Oscar after-party in 2019, she last posed on its carpet way back in 2016:
Had Kelce and Swift attended the Oscars or any of its more public after-parties, it would’ve been their first industry event together. Swift has been seen at events before with Kelce, regularly attending his football games. The Super Bowl, where they kissed on camera, was her most high-profile appearance.
A source spoke to Entertainment Tonight earlier this week about how Kelce is dedicated to supporting Swift: “Taylor is super busy with her tour, but Travis and her are continuing to make things work,” the source said. “He is enjoying his life in the off season while trying to be as supportive as possible of Taylor. They make a great match and both see a real future together. They have talked about next steps and are on the same page.”
Swift is now on break from tour until May 9 when she’ll kick off her European shows in Paris. A source told People in mid-February that Kelce is planning to join her during that leg. “[They] are making plans for the summer and are excited to travel together in Europe when Taylor takes her tour there,” the insider said.
Kelce was close to attending the Grammys last month, as the Kansas City Chiefs player had been nearby in Las Vegas that night, preparing for the Super Bowl. However, understandably, work kept him from going. He expressed his regrets about not being able to attend during an interview on The Pat McAfee Show.
“I wish I could go support Taylor at the Grammys and watch her win every single award that she’s nominated for,” he said. “But I think I got practice on Sunday. I know I got practice Saturday, but Sunday is a travel day. Unfortunately I’ve got to get ready for this big ol’ Super Bowl that we’ve got in a week.”
