Britain’s Got Talent viewers got more than they bargained for on Saturday night’s episode when one act left the judges stunned with Bruno Tonioli and Alesha Dixon walking off
Britain’s Got Talent viewers got more than they bargained for on Saturday night’s episode with one act’s surprising audition.
During the latest instalment, Kimberly Winter appeared on stage, where it looked like she was going to sing ABBA but instead started burping, as she belched The Winner Takes It All. The judges were left completely stunned over the surprise with the audience also left gobsmacked.
After the windy routine, Simon Cowell quipped: “We weren’t expecting that, did you really fly in from America to burp at me? Really? It was so stupid, it was brilliant, really, that’s a compliment.” However, Alesha Dixon and Bruno Tonioli weren’t impressed as they both said no after pressing their red buzzers.
Yet Amanda Holden was impressed by the performance as she joined in on the burping to give her answer of yes to which Alesha declared: “I’m out of here, I’m out of here!” while Bruno added: “I’m bitterly disappointed, no, no, no!” Simon also joined in on the burping, revealing it was a yes from him.

This prompted a horrified Alesha to say: “Bruno, let’s go” as they both walked off to which hosts Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly said: “Oh they’ve gone, the two of them have gone!” However, despite walking off, Bruno soon made a U-turn as he declared: “Just because I can’t possibly imagine how you’re going to out gross this grossness… I’ll change it around!” This gave Kimberly three yeses from the judges.
Much like the judges, viewers were also left divided over the act, taking to Twitter, now X, to share their thoughts. One person said: “Please tell me why someone was burping on stage?”, a different account put: “Burping is funny at first. But soon gets boring. #BGT”, another wrote: “#BGT #BritiansGotTalent burping girl seriously????” while another viewer added: “I’m sorry but how was that burping woman entertaining??…#BGT.”
Elsewhere, a different account put: “The burping woman to win #BGT!”, another viewer wrote: “Im crying laughing at the burping lady on #BGT” while another added: “Let’s make sure this burping lady wins!”
It comes as West End singer and performer Sydnie Christmas and Ssaulabi Performance Troupe, a South Korean martial arts group, both received the highly-coveted Golden Buzzers on Saturday’s show, meaning they sail straight through to the semi-finals.
