One Celebrity Big Brother housemate has bagged themselves a place in the final.

It was revealed on Celebrity Big Brother : Late and Live tonight that one celebrity had been saved from ever being put up for eviction for the rest of the series and thus was confirmed to have a place in the grand final on Friday.

On Late and Live this evening, host AJ Odudu revealed that Fern Britton had been chosen to secretly select one housemate to be evicted from the house. However, in a twist she was unaware of, Fern will actually be choosing someone to be given a free pass to the final and so they would not be allowed to be put up for eviction either by the housemates or the general public at home.

The evictions have caused quite a stir during this short series, with the first nominations causing tears when Lauren Simon found out she was up for eviction. After finding out what happened, she said: “I’ve obviously pissed a couple of people of. The thing is with me, I’ve heard it, I’ve taken it on board. I’m not going to change. I am what I am. Every day changes here, doesn’t it?”

Later, she spoke to Big Brother about what happened, adding: “I’m obviously a bit tired. I’m emotional. It was a bit of a shock but I knew that we’ve all voted and someone had to leave. I’m having such a nice time. I feel that there’s obviously more than two people who have voted for me in that room. I’m struggling with not knowing who it is. I don’t like living with snakes. I am who I am. I try to be the best I can be and get on with everybody. But I suppose I’m marmite, you love me or you hate me.”

So far, Lauren, Ekin-Su, Gary and Levi have all left the house, with Sharon Osbourne also leaving after serving her time as Celebrity Big Brother lodger. She explained before going in that she wanted a short stay as she didn’t want to be away from her husband Ozzy for too long, as she said: “I don’t want to stay away from Ozzy for too long. We’re so close as a family. I don’t think I have ever gone a week without talking to any of them, ever. Through fights, feuds, everything. We still talk and this will definitely be the longest.”
