LAUREN Simon’s daughter has slammed her mum’s claim that Simon Cowell wanted to make her a star.

Celebrity Big Brother viewers were certainly surprised when Lauren, 48, claimed the music mogul had promised to make her famous long before her reality career kicked off.

The Real Housewives of Cheshire star boasted about meeting Simon in her youth during a conversation with his old X Factor colleague, Louis Walsh.

But reacting on TikTok, her 19-year-old daughter Gigi hilariously contradicted her story, joking that it was a “remix” of the truth.

She told her followers, “One thing about Lauren. Her stories never miss. My girl has lived. She’s lived. She’s like a cat. She’s seen nine lives.

“We’re going to put it down to the fact that he fancied her because my mum… this girl can’t sing. She can do a lot of things. Singing? Off the roster. Take it off.

“She has actually told me this story. This the remix though. She told me that they used to go for a Chinese every Wednesday, so I will be clarifying this when she gets out.

“That probably happened after, to be fair.”

Louis goes way back with Simon, with the pair judging alongside each other on the ITV talent show on-and-off between 2004 and 2019.

So, when Lauren found herself in the bedroom with him, she saw it as the perfect opportunity to share her tale.

She began, ‘I’ll tell you a great story. I was 23 and I lived in London and I was going out with this playboy.

“I was at the VIP table drinking champagne and Simon was there and he worked for RCA Records at the time.

“He came over to give me his card. I had a gold dress on, dancing on the table. He wanted to make me famous as a singer.”

Louis then quipped: “He fancied you?” to which Lauren responded, “Probably!”

She continued: “I’m in Barbados and I got married there. I’m walking down the beach with my ex-husband and he’s at Sandy Lane with Sinitta.

“He looks at me and goes, ‘Lauren Stone, how are the devil are you? Are you still dancing on those tables?'”
