KATIE Price has taken a savage swipe at one of the names confirmed for the new series of Celebrity Big Brother.

And former glamour model Katie, 45, wasn’t impressed when sister Sophie told her some of the people moving into the famous house during the latest episode of their podcast The Katie Price Show.

Sophie told Katie: “Kate Middleton’s uncle [is doing it].”

Reacting to Gary Goldsmith’s place on the show, Katie said: “Why the f***’s he in it, who is he?”

Referring to Lauren Simon, Sophie added: “There’s someone from the Real Housewives of Cheshire.”

Katie replied: “Right. Anyone can be a celebrity these days.”

Controversial businessman Gary — brother of Kate’s mum Carole — auditioned for I’m A Celebrity last year but was rejected at the final stage over fears it could embarrass Kate and William.

But a source told us: “The CBB team love him because of his link to Kate and the fact that he’s confident and loud and won’t hold back.

“He’s made it clear he will talk about everything and anything, and he’s pretty outspoken when it comes to Harry and Meghan.

“He could be TV gold and ITV knows it. The deal he signed is for good money.”

Katie’s swipe comes after she went public with new boyfriend JJ Slater – and she also confessed to thinking JJ’s MAFS UK ex Ella Morgan will do CBB.

She added: “I reckon Ella’s gonna be in it, I don’t know why.”

Yesterday Ella’s pal and fellow MAFS star Jay Howard revealed how she really feels about JJ and Katie’s new relationship.
