EAGLE-EYED Britain’s Got Talent fans are convinced they have worked out the ‘real identity’ of auditionee The Dark Hero.
The masked man took to the stage in last night’s episode of the ITV talent show dressed as Batman.

He then surprised judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and Bruno Tonioli by belting out an operatic version of Defying Gravity from hit musical Wicked.
The Dark Hero did not reveal his real name, which prompted a frenzy of fans speculation online.
Now many viewers are certain the man behind the mask must be famous.
One fan on X, formerly twitter, guessed he must be a famous singer.
They posted: Why the f*** would you do opera dressed as Batman unless he is trying to hide his identity as a famous singer?”
Another was convinced the act might be a familiar face who has already appeared on the talent show.
The viewer shared: “Hasn’t the guy dressed as batman been on before but as himself and made it through to finals. Is that why he didn’t speak so he didn’t have to say who he was and they’d know he was on before.”
A third weighed in: “Guessing Batman was dressed up so he didn’t speak to hide his identity. Whoever he is that was brilliant and one of my favourite musical theatre songs.”
But one viewer even went as far as to guess that The Dark Hero was a very famous A-lister who has played another superhero on the big screen.
The sleuth wrote: “Maybe a bit far fetched but does anyone thing that batman looked like Henry Cavill on bgt? Maybe people would’ve known it was him if he was superman.”
British-born Henry, 40, played Clark Kent in 2013’s Man of Steel.
He also appeared in 2016’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, a sequel co-starring Ben Affleck that was panned by critics.
Henry also reprised the iconic character in Justice League, Black Adam and The Flash.
Meanwhile, back on Britain’s Got Talent, as well as guessing the idenity of The Dark Hero, fans were also outraged over judge Simon’s Golden Buzzer decision.
Many threatened ‘to call Ofcom’ after three Japanese acts performed last night.
Upset viewers claimed the show should be for British aspring stars because of its name and were unimpressed when Simon gave his Golden Buzzer to Japanese dance troupe Cyberagent Legit.
Despite there being no rules about where acts hail from, some angry fans took to social media to vent.
One ranted: “Did ITV get a group booking for a flight from Japan? Or is this Japan‘s got Talent?
A second fumed: “Can Ofcom look at this like the trade descriptions act?! A very misleading name for a TV show!”
A third raged: “They must think people are stupid, they fly a hand picked dance group from Japan and then give them the golden buzzer so they can come straight over for the semi finals, fix.”
