Angel Reese knocked over during LSU court storming after Kentucky buzzer-beater

After LSU knocked off Kentucky on Wednesday, fans immediately stormed the court thanks to the buzzer-beating nature of the victory.

Tigers women’s basketball star Angel Reese was one of the first people on the court to celebrate with her university’s men’s team. However, it appears that she might have gotten knocked down during the scrum, although it’s hard to tell with the video provided.

She can be seen jumping up and down with LSU players and fans and seems to fall to the side a disappear from camera view.

Reese took to social media to reveal that she was okay after the fall.

“STORMED THE COURT, GOT KNOCKED DOWN BUT GUESS WHAT??? IT WAS ALL WORTH IT!!! GEAUX TIGERSSSS,” she wrote on X.

Fans and even the LSU men’s basketball team should know that Reese is royalty down in Baton Rouge. It breeds flashbacks of when Iowa star Caitlin Clark was accidentally struck by a fan who was storming the court when Iowa lost to Ohio State in January. Clark was not injured during the scary incident, but it certainly is a situation the Hawkeyes were careful to avoid when they lost to Nebraska earlier this month.

Still, Reese hopes to not be caught up in a court storming for the rest of the season. LSU has four games left on their regular season schedule, two of which are on the road and both have the potential for a court storm by fans if an upset were to happen.

At the same time, Reese is trying to make the most out of her final season playing college basketball, something her head coach reiterated at a recent press conference.

“Her career is winding down in college and so you start counting probably in her mind how many more games I have in my college career,” LSU coach Kim Mulkey said. “And every game is maybe magnified more. I don’t know. I’m just answering based upon my experience and what a lot of seniors say, is that it’s a sense of urgency for me now.”

While the men’s team is off to celebrate, the women’s team will be back on the same floor that was flooded by Tigers faithful in less than 24 hours. The No. 13 LSU WBB team is scheduled to take on the Auburn Tigers on Thursday at 9 p.m. ET and will air live on the SEC Network.
