This Morning took an emotional turn during Friday’s episode as Sian Welby and Craig Doyle said farewell to the programme.

But fans of the ITV show begged them to stay as they praised the ‘dream team’ for keeping them ‘amused and entertained’ over the summer.

Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley will return in September to their usual Monday to Thursday slot while Alison and Dermot will be back hosting the show on Fridays.

It’s been Sian’s first week back at This Morning since she welcomed baby Ruby just eight weeks ago.

And viewers were left begging for more, saying the presenter made the show ‘enjoyable’ and made for a great team with Craig.

Jake sweetly rocked the baby and cooed: ‘Say hello Ruby’ as Craig added: ‘The nation curls up with cuteness, aw Sian.’

Sian quipped: ‘Little Ruby, oh it’s so sweet to have her with me today because I was quite nervous about leaving her, do you know what I mean?’

‘She did a big poo before we left. She’s all good now,’ added Jake, to which the presenter laughed ‘Oh great’.

Craig hilariously interjected with ‘We’re all nervous’ and Sian remarked: You had the same sort of morning did you?’
