This Morning announced the unexpected return of four famous presenters this week
This Morning has whipped up excitement with the surprise announcement that four celebrated presenters are ready to reclaim their hosting duties next week, leaving fans utterly astonished.
A spirited start on Tuesday (August 27) saw Craig Doyle and Sian Welby at the helm, while usual hosts Cat Deeley, Dermot O’Leary, Alison Hammond, and Ben Shephard enjoy a well-deserved summer hiatus. However, come next Monday, the quartet will once again grace our screens leading the ITV show.
Amidst this buzz, viewers caught a glimpse of the program’s spanking new intro sequence featuring the familiar faces donned in vibrant attire, boldly parading over the top of the ITV building. Martin Frizell, This Morning’s editor, proclaimed: “Full credit to our promo team for this idea and execution. I know that it was no mean feat getting a rather large sofa and four hosts up on the roof during one of the hottest days this summer!”
“We all couldn’t be more excited to welcome back Ben, Cat, Alison and Dermot post their summer break, and I know all had great fun filming this promo. Their energy certainly matches the fresh and bold content the show has coming up.”
Stepping into explanation mode, Sian said: “Now listen, we’ve all had the best time keeping you company throughout the summer, and as you’ve just seen from our brand new shiny promo, Alison, Dermot, Ben and Cat will be back next week,” reports the Mirror.
On a lighter note, Craig added his quip: “They certainly are. Now you may think the four of them go away for long summer holidays, but no, no. We keep them up on that roof and they just stay there all through the summer. We give them a tent and feed them. But we’re gonna let them down for next week.” Sian then humorously remarked: “They should be allowed back, shouldn’t they?”
Viewers were left stunned by the programme’s fresh opening sequence, with one saying on social media: “That #ThisMorning intro? What the hell is happening? ” Another followed suit: “Can’t get over the new This Morning intro but happy Alison and Dermot are coming back soon.”
ITV has revealed that a historic moment for the network occurred when its presenters ascended 45 feet for the new teaser film, which was perfectly paired with the sounds of Jungle’s Talk About It. It marked an unprecedented event as it was the first time the building’s roof had been used for filming.
The update comes in the wake of This Morning earning a place on the National Television Award shortlist, contending for the title of Best Daytime show.
