Earlier, she had updated viewers on a dire situation at a Dagenham tower block consumed by fire, leading to the evacuation of 100 residents, reports the Express. Another correspondent then revealed freshly-confirmed information from fire officials who’d identified several fire risks in the building.

With 40 fire engines and numerous firefighters at the scene, efforts continued through the night to control the devastating blaze.

In continued coverage, Marverine also shared urgent news regarding British citizen Ryan Evans, who tragically lost his life in a Ukraine airstrike while working, alongside three fatalities caused by severed power and water supplies in Kyiv.

She went on to discuss how singer Lily Allen faced criticism from PETA after she disclosed that she had given up her dog when it consumed the passports and visas of herself and her children, leading to a substantial cost for replacements.

Lily has since defended herself, asserting that the dog wasn’t abandoned but rehomed. However, PETA has advised her against getting another dog, following her revelation that she was contemplating it.

Elsewhere on the show, Richard Madeley sparked outrage with his comment about Prince Andrew. As a picture capturing the Duke of York immediately after his calamitous 2019 Newsnight interview passed initial stages for National Gallery possession, he asked: “Is it time to lay off Prince Andrew?”

Unsurprisingly, viewers weren’t impressed with one commenting: “Can’t believe Madeley saying is it time to lay off Prince Andrew, cut him a bit of slack! ! ! ! No! ! Switched off!”
