The former UFC light heavyweight champion has opened up about declining a main event to be on the same card as Conor McGregor vs Michael Chandler, UFC 303.

McGregor is set to return to the Octagon after a hiatus of over two years in June against Chandler. Their fight will headline UFC 303. As one would assume, there is a lot of anticipation surrounding the battle, and fans eagerly await the return of ‘The Notorious.’

Ahead of the fight, Jamahal Hill has revealed that he declined the offer to headline an event against Khalil Rountree to be a part of Conor McGregor’s card. He said:

“[Conor] is the star in the game… I was offered a main event to fight Khalil…I was like nah, the Conor card is right there. It’s good enough, and I definitely want that. So I turned down a main event to get on this.”

That said, it will be interesting to see if Hill can come back from his loss against Alex Pereira at UFC 300 or not in his next fight.
