The One Show was hit with a wave of panic among its viewers as a segment on the Gallagher brothers teased a ‘fall-out’ after their Oasis reunion announcement
The One Show viewers were nearly knocked for six after a cheeky bit suggested another clash between Oasis icons Noel and Liam Gallagher, merely days following their eagerly awaited get-together.
Correspondent Matt Allwright played the joker card, teasing fans with his remark that the Gallagher brothers have “fallen out”. In the midst of the show, host Clara Amfo primed the audience, querying: “Now as it’s Wednesday, Matt is here with Watchdog. Matt, I understand those Gallaghers have been in touch?”
Matt responded in jest: “Yes. We can exclusively reveal that a week after Oasis got back together they’ve fallen out… with Viagogo.”

This jest certainly whipped up feelings among Oasis enthusiasts – some were, undoubtedly, comforted while others didn’t take kindly to the pun. A frustrated Twitter/X user posted online: “Matt knew what he was doing with that Oasis fall-out line, had me worried for a sec! ”
Alternatively, a viewer lamented: “I’ve not managed to get tickets yet (but still holding out hope! ! ! ) but I had the show on in the background and heard those words and my heart dropped.”
Following up, Allwright clarified things with his ‘exclusive’ Watchdog revelation to the audience: “We’ve heard exclusively from Oasis. They say their team is monitoring listings on unauthorised resale platforms like Viagogo, and tickets purchased on such sites are liable to be cancelled.”, reports the Daily Star.
Some viewers were less than thrilled, slamming the show for presenting old news. A viewer expressed their annoyance on Twitter : “#TheOneShow’s ‘exclusive’ on dodgy ticket resale investigations is old news. It’s been in the TandCs for #Oasis tickets.”
Yet, the fan also shared a glimmer of hope: “But there is some good news. In the last couple of hours, Oasis have announced two extra Wembley dates. Tickets will be sold by staggered, invitation-only ballot process open first to the many UK fans who were unsuccessful in the initial sale.”
Matt Baker probed into the issue, pointing out that skyrocketing ticket prices are “putting tickets out of reach for a lot of people” and remarked: “At least if you did buy the tickets there and then, you could be sure of getting in. Unlike the conundrum you’re faced with if you buy through reselling marketplace Viagogo.”
He exposed the exorbitant resale prices: “They’re now on sale for up to £5,000. But here’s the thing that does not guarantee you entry, and Oasis are not happy about that.”
Co-presenter Clara Amfo chimed in: “I bet they’re not! You don’t want to get on the wrong side of Liam and Noel Gallagher, at all.”
She also highlighted that Viagogo has cautioned that tickets purchased through them “may be invalid”.
Alex Jones expressed his shock, saying: “It’s mad, isn’t it, to buy tickets that may not work. You may get to the turnstiles then be refused entry. Do you get your money back? ” Matt confirmed that an equivalent ticket or a refund would be provided “but only once you’ve been turned away”, admitting: “It’s not going to makeup for missing the gig, or travel and accommodation.”
