Stephen Curry finally spoke out about the quarrel between Rudy Gobert and Draymond Green:
“We need him, but unfortunately..
Stephen Curry, who witnessed the tense altercation between Rudy Gobert and Draymond Green, recently spoke out to express his views on the incident that marked the start of the Warriors’ season.
Packaged for the first of two consecutive meetings against Minnesota, Curry was present on the bench and observed the scene closely.
In a candid statement, the two-time MVP highlighted the importance of Draymond Green to the Warriors team, despite the incident that led to the latter’s suspension.
Curry admitted the team needs Green back, especially given the current 8-9 record and a nine-game series that hasn’t gone as planned.
“Yes, we definitely need Draymond back because we have a record of 8-9. And then, as I said before, the nine-game series we are in at the moment is not going very well.
I know Draymond can’t wait to get back, and we can’t wait as much as he does,” Curry said.
Curry also highlighted Green’s complete impact on the Warriors’ game, highlighting his contributions on both ends of the court, both offensively and defensively.
According to Curry, Green’s return will help the team improve in many aspects of the game.
“We need him to help us improve, especially offensively.
Actually, on both sides of the field.
Offensively in terms of what we’re trying to accomplish on each possession, and defensively to be more connected as a team, trust us a little more to be better, but also know that he can help and be more organized in this area,” added Curry.
