Luka Doncic thinks Caitlin Clark is a better shooter than him, hailing her as the women’s Stephen Curry.

Luka Doncic On Caitlin Clark: "She's The Women's Steph Curry. She Can Shoot It Better Than Me."

Luka Doncic had high praise for Iowa Hawkeyes’ women’s basketball star Caitlin Clark, calling her the women’s Stephen Curry.

“[She’s] the women’s Steph Curry. She can shoot it better than me.”

Clark is scheduled to play in the NCAA women’s tournament Final Four against the UConn Huskies.

She’s wrapping up a dominant college basketball career, becoming the all-time NCAA scoring leader and currently the favorite to win the tournament before entering the 2024 WNBA Draft.

Caitlin Clark is averaging 32.0 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 9.0 assists this season, breaking the all-time women’s single-season NCAA 3-point record as well, currently on 540 made threes for her college career.

She’s a transcendent star, and Doncic’s praise shows how highly elite players in the NBA value her.

The Curry comparison is fair as well, with Clark breaking some of Steph’s 3-point records from his time in the NCAA.

Isiah Thomas Thinks Clark Is A Better Shooter Than Stephen Curry

When the NBA was planning the Sabrina Ionescu vs. Stephen Curry All-Star event, NBA legend and two-time champion Isiah Thomas shared the opinion that Clark should have been a competitor as well, as she is a better shooter than both Ionescu and Curry.

“Neither one of them is the greatest shooter, because right now that Caitlin Clark, that’s who I wanna see. Bring Caitlin in… Put 22 from Iowa in this competition, she’s the real deal. She takes the throne.”

The hype Clark is receiving is warranted, as the star has made women’s basketball one of the premier college sports in the country.

Women’s tournament ratings are outclassing the ratings brought about by March Madness, primarily due to the incredible stars on offer in the women’s NCAA tournament.

Along with Clark, stars such as Angel Reese, Paige Bueckers, and JuJu Watkins, among many others are making the tournament as popular as it’s ever been.

Curry has made 3,722 from the 3-point line for his career on 42.5% efficiency, becoming the all-time leader in makes, converging remarkable volume with incredible efficiency.

Clark has made 540 shots from the 3-point line in her time with the Iowa Hawkeyes, converting at a 37.8% rate.

Clark is expected to team up alongside Sabrina Ionescu at the 2025 NBA All-Star Game to take on the duo of Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson.

This exhibition is bound to get fans even more excited about the growing popularity of women’s hoops, especially with Clark joining Ionescu in the WNBA next season.
