When Barcelona plays Real Sociedad on Saturday, they hope to get back to winning ways.
Xavi Hernandez’s team is currently four points behind Real Madrid and Girona at the top of La Liga after their Clasico loss last weekend.
They will try to close this gap in the upcoming weeks.
But Barcelona will have a very tough challenge against La Real. Unquestionably one of the top teams in the nation, the Basques might pose a serious threat to the winners from the previous year.
The good news for Barcelona is that Pedri will be playing for the first time since his injury on the trip to Donostia-San Sebastian, increasing their chances of winning.
The 20-year-old, who hasn’t played since August, has returned to training earlier this week and has received the all-clear from club doctors, according to Diario AS.
The return of Pedri is a huge plus for Barcelona. His inventiveness in the centre of the pitch has been greatly missed, but Xavi needs to be cautious not to hurry him back too soon to prevent such injuries in the future.
