Britons have revealed their favourite This Morning presenter and the celebrities they would prefer to sit on the ITV sofa over Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard.
Ben and Cat have placed fourth and fifth on the new poll, respectively
ITV fans claim they want Rylan Clark and Josie Gibson to replace Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley as permanent This Morning presenters. Meanwhile, Alison Hammond has been crowned the British public’s all-time favourite host, as per new survey results.
Ben, 49, and Cat, 47, have helmed This Morning since officially taking over from Holly Willoughby, 43, and Phillip Schofield, 62, in March. But after successfully holding court on the magazine programme’s sofa for five months, it appears they may not be much of a hit with fans.
A new survey conducted by Betfair Casino has found that neither Ben nor Cat has been voted as the presenter viewers want to permanently host the programme. Instead, 35-year-old Rylan has topped the bill.
It’s understood that 28 per cent of surveyed Britons want the former X Factor star to be indelibly installed. Tied for second place on the poll is 39-year-old Josie and Emma Willis, 48, with 21 per cent of the vote each.
Both rank higher than Ben and Cat, who placed third (18 per cent) and fourth (14 per cent), respectively. Behind them are Rochelle Humes, 35, (13 per cent) and Sian Welby, 37, (seven per cent).
Rylan Clark and Alison Hammond have topped the polls with their popularity.
Elsewhere, Alison, 49, has been crowned as This Morning viewers’ favourite presenter, with Rylan coming in second.
Cat has been marked as ITV viewers’ eighth favourite presenter, ahead of Rochelle and Craig Doyle, while Ben failed to make the list.
This fresh blow comes just days after the pair failed to secure a nomination in a key category ahead of the National Television Awards.
Unlike their This Morning predecessors, Cat and Ben have not been nominated in the best TV presenters category.
Ben and Cat were recently snubbed in the recent National Television Awards nominations.
Instead, Alison has received a nod for her work on This Morning but faces stiff competition from Claudia Winkleman, Bradley Walsh, Stacey Solomon and Ant and Dec.
The daytime staple is also nominated in the Daytime TV category alongside The Chase, Deal or No Deal, Loose Women and BBC’s The Repair Shop.
The 29th National Television Awards are set to take place on September 11 at the O2 in London.
