His axing was first revealed by The Sun after women had complained about the 41-year-old – with Jermaine later speaking out to us in an exclusive interview.

With an empty seat now on the iconic green sofa, former host Matt Baker isn’t ruling out a return to the studio.

Matt, 46, hosted The One Show alongside Alex Jones for nine years before quitting in 2020.

The dad-of-two told The Sun: “All of the shows that I’ve worked on over the years, even like Blue Peter especially, you leave the show but you don’t leave the family.

“I think that’s an important thing to remember and look, if they needed me then I’m more than happy to have a chat with them and see how I can be helpful.

“Who knows, who knows at the moment, I’ve not had any conversations with anybody, but like I say, it’s a show that I still absolutely love.

“I spent nine years of my life dedicated to it and it’s a show that’s very close to my heart.”

He concluded: “It’s a family and you never leave the family.”

Matt was speaking as his beloved Channel 4 series Travels with Mum and Dad returned for a new series.

Airing on Monday nights on digital channel More4, it sees the star hit the road with his parents Janice and Mike.
