Josie Gibson was left blushing as she was joined by Emily in Paris star Lucien Laviscount on This Morning today and she remarked his accent had ‘done something’ to her

Josie Gibson and Craig Doyle were the dynamic duo presenting This Morning on Friday, where they had the pleasure of chatting with Lucien Laviscount.

The actor is gearing up to return as Alfie in the hit show Emily in Paris next week, and Craig couldn’t help but notice how different Lucien sounds compared to his Londoner character, reports the Mirror.

Craig said: “I expected you to sound like him,” to which Lucien responded: “Oh no, I’m from Burnley. I feel like I let people down when I talk. I’m like, ‘Alright mate, you alright? ‘ and they’re like, ‘nah, it can’t be him.'”.

Eager for a taste of Alfie, Craig urged: “Give us a bit of Alfie, can you give us a bit of Alfie from London,” prompting Lucien to slip into a Cockney accent.

Josie was visibly taken aback by the transformation, exclaiming: “Cor, that has done something to me there.”

As Josie found herself at a loss for words, Craig jokingly called for someone to read her thoughts, while she cautioned: “I wouldn’t, I wouldn’t.”

After apologising, Josie listened as Lucien joked: “See the Burnley just doesn’t have the same affect.”

She reassured him, saying: “It does but that was something else.”

Lucien also dropped some teasers about his character’s fate in Emily in Paris, despite Alfie’s breakup with Emily in the season three finale. He shared that Alfie only wants what’s best for Emily and hinted at another potential love rival on the horizon.

The episode of This Morning got off to a rocky start, leading Josie to interrupt the programme just minutes in as viewers expressed their dismay at what they deemed the “worst start”.

The show kicked off with 90s tunes, with Josie and Craig, alongside Tim Campbell and Gyles Brandreth, getting into the groove.

Craig chose Nirvana’s ‘Smells Like Teen Spirit’ for his musical pick, which saw him energetically jumping around, much to Josie’s chagrin. She stopped the segment, exclaiming: “No, oh no, it is too much for me.”

Disgruntled fans took to social media to voice their opinions, with one viewer commenting: “Is this the worst opening segment to a This Morning episode in history? ” Another chimed in with a tweet: “#ThisMorning Worst start to a show ever.”
