TV host’s stunning hair transformation makes her look ‘radiant’ and ‘younger’

RUTH Langsford has shown off a bold new hairstyle after her split from husband Eamonn Holmes.

The TV presenter showcased the glamorous new do weeks after confirming she and Eamonn were separating.

Many remarked she looked ‘unrecognisable’ after opting for a more modern hairstyle following the news that Eamonn has a new girlfriend 12 years his junior.

With his new beau Katie Alexander spotted out wearing what looked like an engagement ring, the TV host was reportedly left ’embarrassed’ and ‘in tears’.

In a bid to leave all the drama behind her, she visited the salon to add some length to her well-known signature locks using extensions, before she debuted her new look via her Instagram.

In the video the 61-year-old is seen in the chair as extensions are added to her hair before it’s styled in modern waves.

She captioned the video: “Extensions time again! @leobancroft salon. Decided to keep them a bit longer this time (lots of you told me to last time!)”

She continued: “I’m not good at doing this ‘bendy wave’ stuff so not sure if I’ll keep them this length but going to give it a whirl! Thanks @leobancroft great to catch up.”

Some of her 1m followers were quick to comment on her youthful look.

One said: “You Look beautiful and it makes you look younger,” while another commented: “Stunning Ruth! You look radiant and younger.”

The bubbly TV host updated her followers again yesterday posting another picture to her Instagram stories of her hair in waves after styling it herself.

Pictured smiling at the camera, with her hair looking effortlessly styled she added the comment: “Look @leobancroft…I did a bendy wave!!!”

Wearing a monochrome top and pictured at home she seemed to have put the pressures of her marriage split on hold.

The once-golden couple who have a 22-year-old son Jack left fans and the showbiz industry in shock after they filed for divorce after 14 years.

They tied the knot at The Elvetham in Hampshire on June 26, 2010, and announced their split in May this year after Ruth found messages between Eamonn and another woman.

It’s claimed that even though Eamonn moved on with his younger relationship-counsellor girlfriend so quickly, after meeting her on Twitter in 2015, he was left ‘blindsided’ after news of their split broke.

Sources claimed he wasn’t aware Ruth was going to pull the plug on the demise of their relationship so publicly.

And while the details of their divorce are a source of daily discussion, Ruth was pictured still wearing her wedding ring as he enjoyed her salon glow-up.
