All sectors and industries have shown growth compared to the same period in 2023. According to the Statistics Office of Lào Cai province, the total retail sales and consumer service revenue in May on the province’s territory reached nearly 2,572 billion VND, up 16.58% compared to the same period in 2023.
Specifically, retail sales revenue reached over 1,734 billion VND, an increase of 13.56%; revenue from accommodation and food services reached nearly 469 billion VND, up 23.56%; revenue from tourism and travel services reached nearly 25 billion VND, a decrease of 2.34%; revenue from other services reached nearly 344 billion VND, up 25.47%.
Retail sales revenue for the first 5 months reached over 8,707 billion VND. Therefore, in the first 5 months of 2024, the total retail sales and consumer service revenue in Lào Cai province reached over 12,681 billion VND, up 25.41% compared to the same period in 2023.
Specifically, retail sales revenue reached over 8,707 billion VND, accounting for 68.66% of the total and increasing by 18.39% compared to the same period in 2023; revenue from accommodation and food services reached over 2,259 billion VND, accounting for 17.82% of the total and increasing by 23.35% compared to the same period in 2023; revenue from tourism and travel services reached nearly 120 billion VND, accounting for 0.95% of the total and increasing by 13.01% compared to the same period in 2023; revenue from other services reached nearly 1,595 billion VND, accounting for 12.57% of the total and increasing by 25.49% compared to the same period in 2023.
