Tipping Point fans were left gobsmacked as a player appeared to ‘smash a record’ on the ITV show – and Ben Shephard was left stunned
Tipping Point witnessed a potential record-breaking moment that left host Ben Shephard reacting with surprise.
The popular ITV quiz show returned to television on Tuesday (September 3), as the charismatic Ben greeted three new contestants, Chris, Gemma, and Graham, who were all eager to take on the challenge of the iconic coin-pusher machine in hopes of winning a substantial cash prize.
Undeterred, Graham tried his luck again in the same drop zone but to no avail, as he encountered yet another fruitless rider. Gemma, watching the tense scene unfold, exclaimed: “You couldn’t write it!”
Despite the setbacks, Graham remained resolute, insisting: “I’m going to persevere Ben, come on, this time lie flat!” as he pressed the button for another attempt.

However, his persistence was met with yet another rider, prompting Ben to comment: “It’s riding!” and Gemma to speculate: “That’s gotta be a record!” Ben concurred, noting: “Three riders in a row, reports the Daily Star.
Graham humorously remarked: “I used to like this game!” after his fourth unsuccessful try. Fortune finally smiled on him during his fifth go in drop zone one, as he managed to dislodge some coins, much to the delight of everyone present.
Graham’s performance on Tipping Point certainly sparked a buzz among viewers. On the social media platform X, previously known as Twitter, comments poured in with one user remarking: “He’s pressing the button too late.”

Another added their frustration: “Drop the counter earlier FFS.”
A third viewer didn’t hold back, saying: “Poor times again and again,” while someone else criticised: “with there dumb buttion pushing they then ask why it rides.”
Despite a shaky beginning on Tipping Point, Graham managed to be the last contestant standing. By the show’s conclusion, he chose to keep his winnings rather than risk them, leaving with a respectable £2650.
